The "cool" invention that will turn off your light ● The new invention allows "heavy" household energy consumers to receive a new indication: flowers that wither or bloom according to household energy consumption, in real time

If you are a heavy consumer of electricity, but also worry about the global energy situation, here is a solution that will help you regulate consumption and possibly save on electricity expenses: flowers that wither or bloom according to the home's energy consumption, in real time.
If at a given moment the television, the dryer, the stove in the kitchen, three computers, lights in all the rooms are on in the house, and the children are listening to music in the room, and at the same time you are also playing on the PlayStation - the flowers begin to glow purple, the petals close and they bend and wither. But if the electricity consumption decreases - they change colors, start to straighten, and the petals open in a spectacular colorful bloom.
The flowers receive the information from a transmitter connected to the main electrical panel and change their shape accordingly. The flowers were designed by Carl Smith, an industrial designer, a graduate of Longborough University in England, but unfortunately, he has not yet presented practical plans for their production.

really. It is very sad to see such an article under the guise of concern for the environment and more in the science section...
Sounds like a stupid gimmick to me, it's not clear what it does in the science section.
