The space shuttle Endeavor landed safely a few minutes ago (17:48) after a 16-day stay in space. The television broadcast showed a particularly smooth landing, without any problems, when the wheels touched the ground, the rear parachute opened, slowing down the speed of the shuttle.

As recalled, at the beginning of the mission, it was accompanied by concerns due to the impact of fragments in sensitive places during the launch, however, repeated tests of the heat protection system did not show any damage that would endanger the shuttle and it was allowed to continue its normal activity and land at the scheduled time.

During their stay, the astronauts brought up supplies and mainly spare parts for important components of the station, such as the gyroscopes that stabilize the height and trajectory of the station. During the five spacewalks, the astronauts also installed an external experimental facility at the Japanese space laboratory Kibu.

It was the 23rd mission of the space shuttle Endeavor and the 127th of the space shuttles in general. Until the end of the ferry project, if the decision is not changed, seven ferry flights remain
