Dassault Systèmes revealed that in 2030 cities will incorporate various technologies that will improve the overall quality of life and provide personalized experiences for everyone. These findings emerged as a result of a survey conducted in collaboration with the American market research company CITE Research.
Hyperloop train systems, smart home systems, payments through mobile phones and personal health plans, these are just some of the technologies that are considered revolutionary today and according to a new survey, the general public expects them to become the norm in 2030. The survey dealt with all issues of consumer expectations for the future in the future at home, travel, health and retail. In addition to these categories, it emerged that positive changes are also expected in the areas of security, energy efficiency and accessibility following the various technological developments.

Among the findings of the survey it emerged that: the most significant advantage as a result of technological developments are personalized experiences, especially among the millennial generation. Among the 18 to 34-year-olds, technology will provide experiences adapted to the personal needs and desires of each and every one. In contrast, the respondents to the survey over the age of 35 expect that the technological advancement will provide, first and foremost, a better quality of life. In 2030 our home will be more secure and energy efficient. More than 70% of the participants in the survey testified that they will use remote-controlled devices, voice-activated electronic aids and manage a smart home. 49% of them are expected to use virtual home aids or general robots.

Transportation and mobility are expected to become more and more electric and more useful, which will lead to improvements in cost savings, travel times and increase road safety. More than 70% are expected to travel in hybrid or fully electric vehicles, while half of them are expected to travel in the Hyperloop. 38% will use air taxis, but the most striking figure is that more than 75% expect personalized passenger experiences, such as improved transportation routes, when they will not allow access to personal data to improve these services.

Health care and home care will become the norm. More than 80% of the participants in the survey expect to prevent diseases and extend their lives, as a result of the technology that will allow them to manage their personal health in an easier and more efficient way. 83% of them expect that health programs based on behavior or nutrition will have the highest impact, 81% of health devices will be designed to provide treatments at home, and 80% will be electronic monitoring systems.

Physical stores will not disappear, but the shopping experience will change depending on payment methods and the use of technologies present in the store. 84% are expected to use mobile payments and delivery services "anytime, anywhere" to make shopping more convenient, but 55% think it is highly unlikely that all shopping will be virtual in 2030.

According to Florence Varzlan, senior vice president for industrial solutions and marketing at Dassault Systèmes, "this survey on consumer expectations regarding the city in 2030 allows us to bridge the gaps between technological reality and consumer expectations for the future."
"Consumers expect a huge change in every aspect of their lives. This glimpse into their thinking offers valuable feedback to companies about what to research, develop and accelerate. It confirms the inspiration that personalized initiatives will be a dominant line in the whole innovation issue. Dassault Systèmes will continue to support industry initiatives to meet these consumer expectations through our 3DEXPERIENCE platform.”

  1. To understand the chance/risk towards which humanity is "progressing", just watch the video,
Everything is fast, flat and lacks depth,
If indeed this is the future, it is highly doubtful whether the generation of the "consumers" reading here
    will find their place,
    health and longer life yes,
Quality of Life ? Very doubtful!
Industrial artificiality will take over every corner
And what was the natural environment can be seen in the movies
    or in virtual reality,
Where is the exit to the green field?
    Where is the nature trip?
and so on and so forth,
Maybe this is "progress" that will suit Generation Z,
    for "veterans"
    No ! Thanks !

  2. The future will depend entirely on the availability of both clean and efficient energy. That energy has a name, helium-3

  3. The hyperloops? in the night dream

11 years is the not so distant future. The changes we will see will include a deepening of existing trends. If completely new revolutions are started, they will not be enough to be applied very widely.

So more personalized medicine? Yes. including the analysis of the genome of the gut bacteria.
    Electric vehicle entry? for sure.
Autonomous vehicle? The revolution may be at its beginning.
The deepening of online purchases? Come on, you don't have to be a fortune teller to predict that.
Will we all be cooked with global warming? This will be an incentive to purchase an air conditioner online without leaving the (air-conditioned) house.

But the most profound change (in my opinion), which is not discussed here, lies in the activation of the new generation of terrestrial and space telescopes, as well as in the lowering of launch costs, and the possibility of the existence of manned expeditions to the Moon and Mars.
