The space shuttle Discovery is now making its way aboard a Boeing 747 model carrier plane on its way to the first refueling station on the way - the US Navy Air Force Base in Fort Worth, Texas. The carrier plane and the shuttle left Edwards Air Force Base in California this morning according to local time (afternoon Israel time), and stopped for a stopover at the Rick Husband International Airport (commander of the Columbia in the mission in which AB crashed) in the city of Amarillo, Texas.

After waiting for about an hour in Fort Worth, the Discovery took off for a night shift at the Air Force Base in Port Worth, Louisiana. Today, Monday, the shuttle is scheduled to arrive at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
