However, when NASA head Charles Bolden was asked why there would not be cooperation in space between China and the USA, like the "Apollo-Soyuz" mission that took place between the USA and the USSR in July 1975, Bolden avoided giving a direct answer, stating Because the USA and NASA are busy with various space ventures, and they concentrate only on them.

At the same time as the conference, a large space exhibition was opened at the Beijing International Convention Center, where the Chinese manned spacecraft "Shen Zhou 10", which carried out a docking mission to the Chinese space station "Tiangong 1", is also displayed. The crew of the spaceship, three Tekonauts, also participated in the conference.

The 2015 Space Conference will be held in Jerusalem.
