A camera that checks EKG and blood pressure remotely, noise cancellation on a mobile phone, control of a robot using eyes - 26 technological innovations will be presented today (Tuesday, December 15) at a project presentation ceremony of the Bar Ilan School of Engineering.

The fourth year students at the Bar Ilan School of Engineering present their graduation project in a special ceremony every year. The projects reveal unique technological innovations that may serve modern science in the defense industries, medicine, quality of life and even road safety.

Dr. Eli Kohlberg, Dr. Sharon Ganot and Prof. Zeev Zalevsky, senior lecturers at the School of Engineering, guide the students throughout the year in the preparation of the projects. "We see these projects as education for future student-engineers: dealing with new materials beyond the curriculum, preparing an action plan according to theory and establishing the work habits of an engineer. The students start the road to the project by reading the theoretical background and at the end of the process they hand us a book, in which the entire work plan is documented until the end of the project", says Dr. Sharon Ganot.
