The man who initiated the successful hoax about the existence of "Bigfoot" died last month, at the age of 84. It was only after his death that Ray Wallace's family members discovered that the mysterious creature was an invention. "The truth is that Bigfoot just died," said his son Michael.
Rumors of Bigfoot's existence surfaced in August 1958 when a bulldozer operator working for the Wallace Construction Company in California discovered huge footprints near his equipment. Makumon coined the name "Bigfoot" in a cover story he published about the intriguing phenomenon. Now the family members are discovering that Wallace asked a friend to carve legs for him more than 30 cm long, and he and his brother Wilbur used them to create the footprints.
Until then, America had not had its own monster, and the discovery excited many. Wallace took advantage of the enthusiasm, recording Bigfoot sounds, printing posters of the monster sitting with other animals and providing films and photographs of the creature eating frogs and moose. Mark Korbinski, magazine editor, "strange recalled that Wallace admitted to him that one of the Bigfoot photos was a hoax: "Ray told me the film was a hoax, and he knew who was in the Bigfoot suit." According to his son Michael, his mother admitted that she was photographed wearing the monster suit, and that his father had the help of several people in the films.

Listen, Bigfoot exists, at least in my opinion, but it's your full right not to believe it. If you want to get a little more information about the creature, watch the show Looking for Bigfoot on the Discovery Channel every day at 15:55 and according to the sounds Bigfoot makes, there's a chance I heard and saw Bigfoot in the mountains of Romania!
