Tonight was a complete success of the "Arrow" system

The goals of the experiment were to examine the improved performance given to the system, which includes expanding the interception envelope against future targets that may threaten the State of Israel

Today 11/2/07 at 21:18 the "Arrow" weapon system performed a successful system test, as part of development tests that are part of the Weapon System Improvements Contract (ASIP) between Israel and the USA. This is the fifteenth test of the "Arrow" interceptor and the tenth test of the weapon system.
The goals of the experiment were to examine the improved performance given to the system, which includes expanding the interception envelope against future targets that may threaten the State of Israel.
In this experiment, the system was tested in an integrated operational configuration with the participation of two geographically distant batteries while examining the lessons learned from the past. The target missile simulated a future threat in extreme data. The interceptor, from the joint production series for the Air Industry/MLM and the American Boeing Company was launched in dark conditions.
The launch of the target simulated an operational scenario and all the components of the weapon system worked in their operational configuration.
After the target was launched, the weapon system went into action. The radar detected the target and transmitted its data to the fire management center which calculated a defense plan against it. The defense plans were transferred to the launcher which launched the experimental interceptor which completed its course successfully and destroyed the target.
The Arrow system was jointly developed by Israel and the United States and is managed by the "Wall" administration at the Ministry of Defense in cooperation with the Directorate of Ballistic Missile Defense at the US Department of Defense (MDA). The main contractor for the development of the system is the MLM plant of the aviation industry. The system includes: the "Oran Yerok" warning and fire control radar manufactured by Elta, the "Atrog Zahav" fire management system manufactured by Tadiran Systems, the "Walnut-Brown" launcher control center and an operational launcher manufactured by Air Industry/MLM and interceptors, jointly produced by the "A/ MLM and the Boeing company. Also participating in the test were components produced by the air industry, the military industry, Rafael, which supplied, among others, the "Anchor Black" target missile and more.

The "Arrow" weapon system is operational in the Air Force and is operated by the "Protective Sword" soldiers in the anti-aircraft formation.

The success of the test is an important step in the development of the operational capability and in providing a response to the future threat of the ballistic missiles in the arena.

  1. Eli Baruch's idea can be quite serious
Just as it is possible to develop measures and interception capability as has been done to date if one focuses on a technological breakthrough that causes the trajectory of the missile to be changed, this may lead to a final and complete solution that will completely eliminate the feasibility of a missile attack since the attacker must take into account that he is launching a missile that will fall on a country friendly to the attacker or at best will fall on him like a boomerang
And peace came to the world
    Uncle

  2. From an entertaining atmosphere, to something perhaps serious:

that in the near future, rockets will be used for deliveries such as Dar, medicines; According to what was published: the Iranians are interested in AIDS, so on the same trend, it is possible to send them ideas and medicines developed in Israel, for other diseases; And what can be expected at this stage from the Iranians, who will announce that they are dismantling all the nuclear facilities, the maintenance of which alone requires great responsibility, and any malfunction in such a reactor poses a great danger first of all to them, and then to the entire region.

  3. Hello David:

Now what remains is, with the development of a system that will return the missile (by turning the missile 180 degrees), to determine a marking for the axis; Positive if it contains friendly products, then the system will be in a state of inactivity, and negative if it contains a destructive charge, then the system will have to operate more efficiently. (So tell me you didn't think about that before either).

  4. Eli Baruch's idea is original and interesting and can be an excellent solution and even seems to me absolutely possible and can solve the whole problem of nuclear threats
How did we not think of this before?
    Uncle

  5. Upgrade:

The next trend should develop in the direction, changing the direction of the trajectory of the ballistic missile, to the area from which it was launched; perhaps this will make the launchers of the ballistic missile think, feed it with sweets, flowers; "Environmentally friendly products".

  6. We were already in this movie.
In the first Gulf War, while the Americans were occupying Iraq, about 40 missiles were fired at us, luckily they were all conventional and most of them missed.
So there was no one to hit back.

Also, the attitude towards human life in Iran is different from ours.
The threat of striking twice will not scare them.

  7. In this type of scenario there is no place to play with moral concepts
Imagine a situation where the system detects a missile on its way to us, the system reacts and manages to intercept the missile
According to Noam's proposal we launch 2 missiles and destroy hundreds of thousands of people
And the amount of the event will be
    We were not harmed
We brought hell to the doorstep of our enemy
A third and final world war began and the earth went to hell
And who caused this, as always the Jews are to blame
I have a more reasonable solution
They only destroy one person called Ahmadinejad
Or alternatively, the threat is eliminated while it is still small and before it developed into a real threat in a state of no return
And a redeemer came to Zion
    Uncle

  8. Instead of threatening the Iranians, we should quietly prepare to strike, as well as lead collaborations of scientific and technological developments of this kind.
If the Iranians decide to strike,
Disabled we are two and with the same type of weapon.
Only in this way will we be both wiser and more moral than them.
