During 250 million years of evolution, cockroaches have developed a simple defense mechanism against bacteria. The special mechanism bypasses adaptation, and therefore does not allow the bacteria to develop resistance against it. Omnix Medical, founded by Dr. Moshik Cohen Kutner and Dr. Niv Behanof at the VLX Ventures incubator in Jerusalem, is developing a new antibiotic based on this defense mechanism.

Bacteria have the ability to adapt quickly to different antibiotic and antiseptic substances, and over the years this ability to quickly adapt allows them to develop resistance to existing antibiotics, on a variety of issues. The resistance of bacteria to antibiotics is a significant threat to public health, and the health authorities of the world have made it their goal to encourage the development of new types of antibiotics, which will allow humanity to deal with a series of resistant, life-threatening bacteria.

How do cockroaches, bees, spiders and other family members cope with one of the greatest medical challenges of the twenty-first century?

The immune system is a very complicated system, which was adapted during evolution in a variety of ways to different threats, and a complex puzzle of elements that participate in the immune defense in animals was created. The insect family is the largest, richest and most diverse of the animal families, and they too are required to effectively overcome disease-causing agents. The innate immune system in the insect family succeeds in destroying various bacteria and invaders through cellular and hormonal interactions. The hormonal response is mediated mainly by the rapid synthesis and release of antimicrobial peptides (short proteins) (AMPs) to the focus of inflammation. The AMPs are part of the insect's arsenal of ammunition against invaders. To date, many AMPs have been identified, but the first identified is from the large South American moth Hyalophora cecropia.

AMPs have diverse mechanisms of action, and they manage to destroy the invading pathogen - for example by changing the electrochemical cascade of the cell membrane - thus damaging the homeostasis of the bacteria. There are AMPs that cause a delay in the creation of proteins in the target cell, including for example increasing membrane permeability by creating channels in the bacterial cell membrane until it is destroyed and more. AMPs have a relatively low molecular weight and are...unstable.

The company Omnix Medical, established in 2015, manufactures a series of antimicrobial peptides to deal with gram-negative bacteria, while developing a technology that solves the stability problem of these peptides. The company has proven in laboratory experiments (in-vitro) and preliminary animal experiments the effectiveness of the peptides it has developed and their safety. And you, have you ever seen a hoarse cockroach? Or a bee sneezes? probably not.

  1. Nitzan, I think he saw the reaction videos "Why do people laugh at atheists"
And after that he decided what he decided.
And as for "the good and the benevolent" you forgot to add "jealous and vengeful" .. and that answers the question of Sodom.

In the end there is justice and there is justice.

And more... answer this question: who created you (say.. your mother) and who created her? (say.. grandmother) And who is she? And go up in the hierarchy where will you end up? (Let's say for example. The explosion of the singular point)... and what was before that? And why didn't anything move before that? And at the singular point suddenly something moves? Is nature random or not?

Another thing, if you see a table. Will it occur to him that he was created by himself? (say in the desert, no labels, etc.)

And another question, why doesn't science use scientific tools to test if there is a creator for the world? but only examines the origins of customs (the nonsense called theology... an unnecessary title in my opinion)

And another question... Nitzan being a religious fan... (Yes. Yes. A religious fan) How do you expect them to answer you in a logical way, your fandom does not allow you to differentiate between black and white. - For example, if I say about a black person that he is black because... (some apparent religious excuse) You will automatically rule him out...fant or not?!

After seeing most of the series "Well really why do people laugh at the religious" and "Why do people laugh at the religious" etc. and compared them and checked their sources. And on the other side came out very beautiful responses "Why do people laugh at atheists" and "Why do people laugh at atheists" and "Why do people laugh at atheists?"
It was so interesting that just debunks the claims of atheists in a wonderful way.
Examples: in one of the atheists' videos they talk about how nature is random, and in another video they talk about how nature is not random... (for the avoidance of doubt - it's the same one) just to show that the religious are wrong, they use "everything" even to lie... and those who check things and examine and see that

The beauty is in religious people who have one truth and stick to it - and in the meantime not a single flower has been found

  2. Last line not serious.
We are all cockroach experts and we all know at a quick glance to diagnose all the diseases that cockroaches have and the same goes for bees.

  3. Hey people
I have been reading articles here for a long time and do not respond
I wanted to refer Mr. Raphael
To YouTube do a search "Well really why do people laugh at the religious"
A few short episodes of 10 minutes
Maybe this bubble called religion will finally burst for him
, and asked me to him
Is a being who is "the good and benevolent"
Can in the same equation be the killer of Egyptian babies
A tyrant who sends with him to murder women, children and old men, for example Sodom and Gomorrah
