The American wind energy industry is becoming a world leader

According to the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), in 2008 the US wind industry doubled its energy production capacity compared to 2006 and passed the world leader - Germany

The US government stated in May 2008 that wind energy will produce 20% of the energy of the world's largest economy by 2030, create 500,000 new jobs, reduce greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to the gases produced by 140 million vehicles and save 4 trillion gallons of water equivalent to water consumption of the city of Phoenix for 40 years!

Following the administration's statements, the American Wind Energy Association reported in the summer of 2008 that the wind industry had reached a production capacity of 20,000 megawatts, double the production capacity of a previous milestone of 10,000 megawatts achieved in 2006. In two years, what had previously taken two decades was accomplished.

Recently, there has been a renewed investment boom in the American market due to several factors, the main one being the tax relief approved by the American Congress after a long period of expectations. The reliefs were given as part of the government's bailout program in order to encourage the American economy, which is suffering from the worst recession since 1929.

The tax benefits created an investment boom in infrastructure that created new jobs and will further increase the production capacity of the economy. In 2008 alone, 15 billion dollars were invested in infrastructure and 9,000 jobs were added in the manufacturing sector alone.

The economic plan also aligns with the energy policy of the Obama administration to produce 10% of energy from renewable sources by 2012 (in the short term) and 25% by 2025 (in the long term), this along with the desire to reduce the amount of emissions by 15-20% carbon dioxide until 2020.

Global warming is no longer a concept used by fringe researchers, it is a worldwide phenomenon felt everywhere on the globe. The phenomena associated with climate change pushed people to call their elected officials to do something about it and slowly we are starting to see the results.

Many claimed that the drop in oil prices would put the plans for the development of green energy back in the drawer, but a rare combination of environmental-economic-political factors created favorable conditions for the development of green energy infrastructures that will serve the USA in the coming decades and push other countries to follow suit.

According to AWEA forecasts, at the current rate the US will produce 20% of its energy with the help of wind energy long before the declared goal of 2030.

About AWEA

The American Wind Energy Association brings together over 1,500 members, among them giant corporations from the leaders in the field of research, development and production of wind turbines and related products for the wind energy industry. The organization organizes the largest and most famous wind energy exhibitions in the world, and serves as a spokesperson for the industry in the world in general and in the corridors of the American government in particular, with the aim of promoting renewable energy and wind energy.

  1. On the same principle, houses can be built in the style of the windmills of the past, which are integrated in wood. The central axis of the houses can be used to heat the entire space of the building.. Both beautiful, efficient, picturesque, nostalgic and even very evergreen.
The base of the house can be created on a wheeled surface..and move around as needed. It can be interesting.

  2. Floating wind turbines should be scattered in the sea, where the wind is very strong and it doesn't take anything from the real estate sharks (at most from the real sharks). Small wind turbines should also be placed on the roofs of the houses. And on their blades should be placed solar panels - to utilize the light, when there is light.

For those who are interested in building a windmill themselves, a link is attached to download an instruction book via torrent. For those who don't know what a torrent is, don't try to download directly because it won't download for you.

    Or he will change.

The web is full of guides on how to build facilities and produce alternative energy.

  3. Of course it is necessary to pay attention to the route, and there are places where the wind is not something, but right now this is one of the safer investments that exist today - some people in the US will return the investment in 5 years, something that we have not even seen anything close to in the field of photovoltaic cells.

  4. The more significant question is when they will pass Germany in the percentage of electricity produced from wind energy of the total electricity production in the country. And most importantly - when will the use of renewable sources lead to a nominal decrease in the consumption of fossil fuels for electricity, and not just to a decrease in the growth rate of their consumption, as a trend over time (don't give me the last year as an example - we need to neutralize a point economic slowdown).

  5. In Germany you see a lot of such wind turbines everywhere. Everywhere you go you see farms of several dozen turbines spinning and generating electricity. The Germans laugh and say that Germany has so much wind because these windmills produce it. It's free energy. is that so? I heard Sabra say (or at least she said in 2004-2006) that these wind turbines are not profitable at all. that the Germans stop producing and placing them because they are not worth the product and in the end there is no real profit in energy and investments. I have no idea if there is any truth to these things. All I know is that even if there is no real profit, there is at least a creation of available energy from wind energy and preventions from burning fossil fuels. This in itself is profit, even if not financial.
