About 100 people have already visited the DEEP exhibition at the Science Museum in Jerusalem. In light of the high demand, the Meemekim exhibition in Israel will be extended until December 9.

A record of over 100 visitors was recorded at the "Depths" (DEEP) exhibition presented at the Bloomfield Science Museum in Jerusalem during the three months since its opening. The exhibition, which arrived in Israel at the beginning of June, was expected to leave the country today (August 31.8.2010, 9), but due to the high demand, the producers of the exhibition and the curator, Claire Novian, agreed to the Bloomfield Science Museum's request and the exhibition will remain in Israel until December XNUMX, the end of Hanukkah. .

The "Depths" exhibition exposes the visitors to a whole world of life, with different and unfamiliar creatures. These beautiful creatures survive in extreme conditions of total darkness, crushing pressure and intense cold, and also live at depths of 11,000 meters. In order to survive, the creatures adapted to themselves various features, including a transparent body, luminous colors and the ability to self-luminize. In the exhibition dozens of aquariums and hundreds of photographs and video clips of fish, jellyfish, worms and rare creatures, which are in danger of existence. The exhibition environment is dark, with the colorful creatures glowing and illuminating. The feeling of visiting the depths is enhanced through a soundtrack written for the exhibition and films shot in the depths by the best researchers in the field.

According to Mia Halevi, CEO of the Bloomfield Science Museum in Jerusalem, "The Israeli audience proves that it does not fall short in its curiosity and interest compared to its peers around the world. The rate of visitors to the exhibition on display at the Science Museum in Jerusalem exceeded that of Paris and London. The success of the exhibition and the great interest it aroused exceeded all our expectations. Even extending the hours of operation until eight o'clock in the evening in the months of July and August failed to meet the great demand for the exhibition, and we are happy that the producers of the exhibition and the curator responded to our request and agreed to keep DEEP in Israel until after Hanukkah."

  1. It is simply ridiculous that the museum is marketing this exhibition as an exhibition suitable for adults.
The exhibition is simply disappointing. Two and a half rooms of pictures and stuffed animals.
A waste of time, a waste of travel, and a waste of money.

  2. The exhibition is extremely disappointing
Very short, very few interesting items. There are mainly pictures that can also be found on the Internet and in nature films.
When I arrived at the exhibition with my friends, we were sure that it was just the introduction and we were looking for where the exhibition continues, but that was it. We were very disappointed, it was not interesting or impressive at all.
