"The aerospace industry is a high-tech industry. I was happy to witness the improvement of its business situation and the expansion of its growth engines to the energy sector as well. I welcome the saving of energy and the turning to new and challenging strategic directions such as the field of wind turbines that will help the State of Israel achieve the goal it has set in the field of renewable energies." This is what Dr. Uzi Landau, the Minister of National Infrastructure Affairs, said at the end of a visit to the aerospace industry.

The minister was received by the chairman of the board of directors, Yair Shamir, and the CEO, Yitzhak Nissan, who reviewed the improvement in the company's business performance. The Minister was informed that in 2009, the ITA saved NIS 18 million in energy expenditure compared to 2008 by intelligently using energy-saving equipment and reducing consumption hours. The minister was also informed that the company has started activities in the field of wind turbines and robotics and sees them as new growth engines, in order to mitigate volatility in the civil aviation market. The aerospace industry's activity in these areas will increase the growth rate of the company.

After that, Minister Landau visited the production lines of drones and executive planes.
