The Ramon Space company (Ramon.Space), a world leader in computing for the space industry, announced today the raising of 17.5 million dollars. In the company's fundraising round A, the following took part: StageOne Ventures, Deep Insight, WorldQuant Ventures, UMC Capital, and also Grove Ventures, an existing investor in the company. The recruitment is aimed at expanding the development of the company's computing solutions, supporting its activities and helping to increase the development teams in Israel and around the world.

Ramon Space builds computing systems that are adapted to the extreme conditions in space, which constitute a revolution in the use of software applications and data processing in space. The use of advanced software in space is limited due to the lack of reliable computing hardware that meets the environmental conditions in space. The company's computing systems are designed to change the way in which computer hardware and software are distributed in space, in order to enable the development and updating of services and applications in real time, and create an infinite space of possibilities for satellite systems and space-penetrating missions of the new space. The company's computer platforms and databases rely on multi-processor artificial intelligence technologies that form the core of new generation applications of sensing, communication and information processing solutions in space and bring them to the advancement of technology.

Computers and knowledge bases in space

Intelligent space systems require advanced computers and databases similar to those found on Earth. The space computing systems that exist in the market today cannot withstand the radiation conditions, the temperatures and the harsh environmental conditions in space, while providing advanced computing performance and their operation is impaired. Ramon Spice uses virtual radiation protection technology that allows its computer systems to operate without malfunctions along with the most advanced performance in the world.

The company is aiming for a revolution in the field of services that surround the earth by making the next generation satellites autonomous and intelligent, which will enable the provision of new and advanced services to the markets on earth, extending the commercial life time of satellites thanks to the ability to upgrade, adjust and flexibly update the services and applications.

Avi Shabtai, CEO: Ramon.Space "We are excited to add first class investors with the aim of leading a technological transformation in the space industry. With a breakthrough technology, with a computing power similar to that on Earth and with an efficient cost structure as on Earth, we are a central part in the revolution of space, as market leaders in the field of computing systems, communications and software-based networks in space. In order to continue to be among the leading companies in the field of space computing, we plan in the near future to double the number of employees in the company, and recruit employees for a wide variety of positions," he added.

"Since the first seed investment we made in the company, the growth rate of the company has increased by unprecedented numbers in the ecosystem of the space industry," said Dov Moran, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Ramon.Space and Managing Partner at Grove Ventures. "I believe that we will still be able to enjoy of the extraordinary benefits and impact of technological progress in space, and Ramon.Space is at the forefront of this progress," he added.

"We are proud to invest in Ramon.Space under our leadership and to be part of a new and exciting journey into space," said Yossi Vinitsky, who leads the Late Stage investment program at the StageOne fund. "We put full trust in the company's team, its technology and their ability to lead supercomputing in space in the coming years," he added.

"Ramon.Space's technology will play a revolutionary role in solving some of the central challenges in the industry," said Barak Ben Eliezer, Managing Partner at Deep Insight. "The company's technological innovation will accelerate the development of smart computing and information processing systems in space, in a $350 billion industry that is expected to grow to more than a trillion dollars in the coming years," he added.

"The space industry is in a phase of transformation thanks to the wide-scale adoption of computing that contributes to lowering costs. Still, the technology used in space is years behind that on Earth," said Chris Peng, president of UMC Capital. "Ramon Space's computer systems will provide solutions in the current decade and the decades to come, and we are proud to be part of this amazing journey in the years to come," he added.

Steven Lau, director at WorldQuant Ventures said: "We believe that the field of computing is one of the most exciting fields in the space economy. Ramon.Space has cutting-edge technologies in the field of machine learning and software, and is expected to impact our lives beyond imagination," he added.

  1. Porat, men also have more muscles, a bigger brain and they are also taller...
Giving women equal rights and especially privileges for worse work leads to the destruction of Western civilization.
The women don't want children they want to be men and a career.
In the 20's they only want studs and in the 30's only the knight on the horse and then 1 child in their 40's from the sperm bank and fertility treatments

    And what does 2021 mean?
What, there have never been women in power?
It will be the same in 4021 as well.
There is nothing new under the sun.
That's how it is - evolution, nature... what will you do? Go against nature?
