The decoding procedure of the proposed reading of the Hebrew inscription from 3200 years ago was revealed for the first time

The inscription was written on a small, folded lead tablet, and it was found last year during soil screening works for the excavation of the late Prof. Adam Zartal from the University of Haifa on Mount Ibal

About a year after the first publication about it, the earliest Hebrew inscription from about 3200 years ago, which includes the explicit name of God, is published in the journal Heritage Science, where the decoding procedure, which includes advanced laser scans and the unique way in which the inscription was written, was revealed for the first time, including the curse: "Cursed to God Yahu". "The address is not read in the currently accepted way, horizontally. It has parts that are written from top to bottom and parts that are written in a circular way. All of these were common characteristics of this type of inscriptions at that time and are also known to us from other places and they testify to the complex writing abilities of the writers of the inscription," said Prof. Gershon Galil from the University of Haifa, co-author of the article and the person responsible for reading the inscription.

The inscription was written on a small, folded lead tablet, and it was found last year during the sifting of dirt for the excavation of the late Prof. Adam Zartel from the University of Haifa in Mount Ibal by the organization Associates for Biblical Research from Texas and led by Dr. Scott Stripling, who is also a partner in the article.

The tablet, which dates back to a period of 3,200 years ago, is actually a type of book that can be closed and opened with two pages: on the right the inner part on which the inscription was written and on the left the part that closed it on which signs of writing are visible on the other side. The size of the plate is about two cm in width and about 2.2 cm in length, and the thickness of its sides is a few millimeters. Since it is currently not possible to open the ore tablet, the find was sent to The Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics in Telč, Czech Republic, where laser scans and various optical tests were performed, which are described in detail in the article, and show how the researchers were able to recover the ancient text, so that it became possible To be read by Prof. Galil.

According to Prof. Galil's reading, the text is written in ancient Hebrew script ("proto-Canaanite") and the text reads:

You are cursed to God, God is cursed

damn die

damn dead die

You are cursed, you are cursed.

The text is not written horizontally, line by line, as is customary in writing these days, but in three different groups, written in different directions. The first cluster, which includes the first sentence, is written on the left side of the right inner panel, with the letters written both horizontally and vertically. The second cluster that includes the second line is written on the right side of the board, and the letters are written from top to bottom. The third cluster in which the third line occupies the center of the board and is written vertically, with the last letters forming a kind of semicircle. According to Prof. Galil, this form of writing was accepted at that time.

"This genius scribe started at the lower left corner of the inner plate and wrote the word "you" (No. 3-1, in yellow). Then he wrote cursed (= 7-4) to God (= 10-8) and above the letters to God that were marked in gray he wrote the explicit name "Jehovah" the name of the God of Israel (= nos. 13-11), and finally: cursed (= 17- 14). Here the first sentence written on the left side of the plate is completed. From then on, he wrote the words "Tamat Aror - Aror Mat Matat" marked in green - from the left side of the plate towards the right and then down, as follows: Matat (20-18) Aror (=24-21) - from top to bottom, then accursed again (=28-25) – from left to right; and finally died (30-29) died (33-31). The last sentence indicated in his heart is recorded in the lower central part of the plate, from bottom to top, as follows: Cursed (37-34), You (40-38), Lihu (44-41) Cursed (48-45)".

According to Prof. Galil: "The Maibal inscription is a foundational inscription and its importance is similar to the Marnpetah inscription from 1208 BC in which the name Israel was first mentioned in the Land of Israel, since the Maibal inscription contains the earliest mention of the name of the God of Israel, in an extra-biblical Hebrew inscription, found in an Israeli settlement complex which lies in the heart of the Israeli settlement in Samaria, where most of the people of Israel lived in those distant days, at the beginning of the Israeli settlement in Canaan."

  1. wishfull. ridiculous. The advertiser assigns different values to identical signs, see for example on the left W8, R5,. Different signs have identical values. See for example on the right W44, W47, and compare to all the other hooks in the picture.
Not to mention the poor reliability of decoding. It's hard to believe how ridiculous a scientific publication can be.

  2. is funny. You hold the board upside down. If you rotate the board 135° clockwise, then the entire address will be in one direction, from left to right, and decoding is extremely simple.

If you are in tension, it is about a grocery list (for the grocery store that Sam wrote to her, or with the addition of romance the Minister of Finance writes to the ruler about supplies or readiness for a siege).

  3. The status of Mount Sinai was invented from a number of legends that were passed down orally at the same time as the writing of the book of Deuteronomy and its "discovery" in the days of Yeshua.

  4. To this day, the lead plate has not been opened. The signs in it and their 'interpretation' are the fevered imagination of an advertisement seeker. The 'discoverer' is a sworn evangelist who 'finds' 'scientific' proofs for the Bible. The finding and its interpretation are without scientific value.

  5. dear editor You're a brainiac. The Canaanites have no god in the name of Jehovah. The Midianites had a tribe called Shesu-Yahu and the chance that the name came from there is much higher

  6. Read what Hagai Mashgav wrote about this decoding.
    Far-reaching interpretation of the advertisers

  7. First of all, it is agreed that this is the period of Israeli settlement or occupation. In addition, there may have been Canaanites who were influenced by the faith of the Israeli people who entered the land of Canaan.
Those who seek not to believe and all kinds of alternative theories such as the certificates etc.. will not believe even if they see proof with their own eyes.

  8. This is one big pike, unfortunately. Don't embarrass yourself

  9. - The one who is trying to rewrite history is Eilon Gilad himself, the celebrated researcher. He tries to describe how the Torah was copied from Assyrian writings from around 600 BC. But the status of Mount Sinai was about 1300 years BC. So the obvious conclusion is that the Ashtars copied the Torah from us and not the other way around. He also comes to the conclusion that the Torah found at the time of Yaishu is a book of Deuteronomy only because that is what is mentioned that was read to the people. But it is clear that it is possible that the entire Torah book was found at that time and only a part was read to the people. King David said hundreds of years ago, 'The teaching of your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver'. King Solomon said to hundreds of women before him: May the Lord our God be with us as he was with our fathers, let him not leave us and let him not forsake us. His laws, his laws, and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers. Yahweh our God is day and night to execute the judgment of his servant and the judgment of his people Israel every day. XNUMX) (sa) And let your hearts be at peace with Jehovah our God to walk in his laws and to keep his commandments this day.

  10. 'Jehovah was a Canaanite god', editor's note.
Does this editor have a shred of proof that Jehovah is of Canaanite origin?
Because to this day in research the prevailing opinion is that Yahweh was either a god of one of the ethnic groups that came from the south or from Egypt and brought him into Canaan, or a Midianite god or "South Arab" in general.
The editor even knows one inscription that is considered to be Canaanite, that Yahweh/Yahweh is mentioned in??

  11. Funny and sad comments before. No references, no arguments, just dismissed.
Reminds me of a time, many years ago we, some physics students in Hebrew, were asked to come and improve during a science week at the Science Museum. Needless to say, then as now I was a collegial educational failure.
For that matter, a religious school came, I think from a makeup artist, and the instructor before they entered instructed them - "questioned" everything and fact that was said inside. So yes today, the fanatics use the scientific and liberal terminology to present dark and contrary ideas

  12. Regardless of the article
It's a shame that the editor decided to introduce a theory about El Canaanite as something that is indisputable, especially that it has no direct connection to the article in question

  13. Far-reaching interpretation of the researcher. He promised greatness and greatness, but in practice his majority is complete. There are already a number of experts who cast great doubt.
You have to be careful of charlatanism
