The first spacewalk on mission STS-133 was completed

The spacewalk this time was not glamorous, and the main thing was to move the ammonia pump that broke down and was treated in the previous mission for storage until it was returned to Earth

Update - During the night, NASA reported that the spacewalk was successfully completed.

Astronauts Alvin Drew and Steve Bowen are now (midnight Israel time) in the midst of their first spacewalk.

The two installed an extension cable in preparation for connecting the multi-purpose module to the Unity unit on the space station. They then moved a faulty pump that had been severed on the previous shuttle mission to an external storage platform near the Quest airlock where it will remain until it is returned to Earth at an as-yet-unknown date.

The two also installed a wedge for the camera in the right part of the station avenue to provide the camera with better clarity after the logistics vehicle #4 is attached to the station. They then worked on upgrading the station's outer shuttle track, which would allow cells full of equipment to be transferred to the astronauts on future spacewalks to assist crew members, so that the trailer could reach large parts of the station.
