New CEO of Astroscale Israel satellite company: Ofir Azriel

Aryeh Halzband, the retiring CEO will serve as a senior advisor to the global company

Ofir Azriel Appointed CEO of Astroscale Israel, which develops satellite service and long-term orbital sustainability. He will replace you Arya Helzband, the founder and CEO, one of the pioneers of the Israeli space industry, who announced his retirement and will henceforth serve as a senior advisor to the global company.

Azriel (43) is a graduate of the Talfiot program and has 20 years of experience in the Israeli space industry. In the last seven years, he held the position of VP of Technologies and Vice President of Engineering, within Astroscale Israel and in its previous incarnation as Effective Spice, before it was acquired by Astroscale Global. He accompanied Helzband during the company's acquisition and merger processes and worked together with him to build a laboratory for mechanical design, production and assembly of standard space systems and a robotic laboratory for computer vision. The final products of the two new facilities will be integrated into Astroscale's service satellites, which are designed to extend the life of communications satellites.
