Stellar "ghost" discovered: Astronomers may have discovered a dark, freely moving "black hole"

Unlike the supermassive black holes at the centers of galaxies, black holes with the masses of individual stars have no matter attracted to them or other nearby objects surrounding it, so they are difficult to detect

When massive stars reach the end of their lives and explode in a supernova, they leave behind a black hole. It is estimated that about one thousandth star is massive enough to form a black hole. There are an estimated 100 to 400 billion stars in the Milky Way, so there are probably a huge number of black holes throughout our galaxy.

But by their very nature black holes are very difficult to detect, especially if they are isolated. After all, a black hole has such strong gravity that no light escapes, so we usually detect them through their gravitational influence on other objects or by radiation produced by the surrounding matter they gobble up. Without nearby objects or added matter, there could be hundreds of millions of black holes throughout our galaxy that are virtually invisible to astronomers.

A team led by astronomers from the University of California at Berkeley has discovered for the first time what a freely moving black star could be, by watching the brightening of a more distant star as its light is distorted by the object's strong gravitational field—so-called gravitational micro-discharge.

The team estimates that the mass of the invisible compact object is between 1.6 and 4.4 times the mass of the Sun. Astronomers think that the remnant of a dead star must be heavier than 2.2 solar masses to collapse into a black hole, so the Berkeley researchers warn that the object could be a neutron star rather than a black hole. Neutron stars are also dense and very compact objects, but their gravity is balanced by internal neutron pressure, which prevents further collapse into a black hole.

Whether a black hole or a neutron star, the object is the first dark stellar remnant—a stellar "ghost"—that has been discovered wandering around the galaxy without another star as a partner.

"This is the first freely moving black hole or neutron star to be discovered using gravitational microinjection," said researcher Jessica Lu. "Using micro-imaging, we can study these individual compact objects and calculate their mass. I think we have opened a new window to these dark objects, which cannot be seen in any other way."

Determining how many such compact objects there are in the Milky Way will help astronomers understand the evolution of stars—and especially how they die—and of our galaxy, and perhaps discover whether among the invisible black holes there are Julian black holes, which some cosmologists believe were created in large quantities in the Big Bang.

The analysis of the international team was accepted for publication in The Astrophysical Journal Letters. The analysis includes four other microfluidization events that the team concluded were not caused by a black hole, although two were probably caused by a white dwarf or neutron star. The team also concluded that the population of black holes in the galaxy is probably 200 million—about what most theorists had predicted.

  1. What about gravitons? If a black hole gravitationally affects objects in its environment, it necessarily means that if there are gravitons they have to escape from it to produce the environmental effect. But no particle, including the fastest photon of all, can escape it.
So can we finally bury the graviton idea?

  2. In general, what does the black hole do for humanity? In any case, in a million - a billion years the Earth will be swallowed by a black hole. then what? It is worthwhile to invest the money from these unnecessary studies, in the development of means of existence for the growing humanity, such as for example food and water accessible to all. It would be much more practical than exploring a black hole.

  3. Response to Shmuel
Regarding your question, you are taking into account a fact that has not yet been tested. A black hole and dark matter have an interaction where the black hole is able to swallow the dark matter.

  4. Response to upset:
You wrote like this: "The quantitative active time exists only in the human consciousness, and does not exist in reality,
The engagement in the active time is an imaginative engagement, which includes the perception of now, future, and past".
If I was able to absorb what you wrote, if we were at complete rest time would be canceled. is it true?
That is, time is the result of movement. And if there was no movement, time would not exist either.

  5. In the end, only the lone scientist can change the science that sees black holes everywhere in the universe.

    Neural light theory

Light is the name of natural knowledge. Darkness is also a name of natural knowledge.
The human gaze reveals many natural and fundamental knowledges of light and darkness.
The human gaze reveals shapes and colors, and these are also names of natural knowledge
The human touch in the palm of the hand reveals natural information that is fat, smooth and rough.
Human contact reveals natural information that fat, hot, cold,
Natural information comes to a person, following an act he does.
You saw - you knew, you touched - you knew, you tasted - you knew.

Science tries to present natural information artificially,
Smooth can be shown with a straight line, and rough with a line with many corners.
Light can be presented "as something ethereal vibrating" and darkness as something ethereal frozen.

In the neural view, light can be artificially explained, using the concept of time.
We know the active time, which appears between two heartbeats.
Anyone who listens to his heartbeat discovers "something ethereal between two beats"
This something has been given the name active time, because it always disappears.
You only noticed a heartbeat, and the moment of recognition is already gone.
Quantitative active time exists only in human consciousness, and does not exist in reality,
The engagement in the active time is an imaginative engagement, which includes the perception of now, future, and past.

In the neural view, an artificial explanation for the light will appear, with the help of the concept of time, but it will not be the active time, but the passive time.
The passive time can be likened to a thin thin cloud, which fills the infinite emptiness
And in any direction, a passive time amount of 0.0033 microseconds can be measured along a meter,

This thin cloud is absolute rest (stands in its place and does not change its place)
This thin cloud is absolutely cold (the highest degree of cold that exists in reality)
This thin cloud is the passive time that science has not noticed.

The proof of the existence of passive time is the possibility of measuring it,
The proof of the existence of active time is in the possibility of measuring it.

Passive time is a quantitative ethereal, but it really exists in reality, and there is no identification of now, past, and future. And just as active time can be measured with a stationary clock, so passive time can be measured with a moving clock.

The passive tense has an important role, and it passes the sunlight through
The method of transmission of sunlight is with passive time waves.
There are sea waves, and there are passive time waves.
Sea waves transfer energy from place to place, at a normal speed that humans can detect
And passive time waves transfer energy from place to place at an enormous speed that is hard to detect.
Passive time waves move within passive time, filling infinite emptiness.
There is no emptiness in nature, and it is full of passive time which is absolute rest and absolute cold.

The passive time is ethereal, as is the active time known to all of us.
But don't forget the big difference.
Active time exists only in the human mind, and does not exist in reality.
The passive time actually exists in reality, and it is a wonder that science has not noticed it until today.

The stars move through passive time, and it does not interfere with their movement.
Within passive time, "passive time waves" move at speed C in all directions.

Each wave of passive time has two data...the amount of energy and the time of its production.
Passive time waves differ from each other "in their power"
Passive time wave power = amount of energy divided by the time of its production.

  6. I will ask to introduce some light, in all the black holes, that the light cannot escape from.
Not everything is black in the universe, and there is a lot of light and color.
There is also no emptiness in the universe, and it is full of passive time
Passive time is the new physical concept that will boost the exploration of the universe.

  7. If there are so many black holes would it be unreasonable to assume that they are swallowing the dark matter that all scientists are looking for?
