In response, the Israeli start-up Nemo Nanomaterials, which has operated under the radar until now, has now been revealed for the first time with the aim of bringing the gospel of green nanotechnology to the world, and providing nanomaterials that will revolutionize the way in which all the benefits inherent in existing industrial raw materials can be utilized for good, while reducing environmental pollution and efficient utilization of resources nature.

Nemo Nanomaterials was founded in 2018 by Alexander Zinigard (CEO) and Yonathan Entabi (VP of Business Development), and has so far raised approximately $7 million in pre-seed and seed rounds, mainly from the GEM Capital investment fund. The use of nanomaterials also has the potential to significantly optimize industrial production processes, starting with the reduction of energy consumption in the production process, through the reduction of the environmental pollution created by the process and the optimization of the use of raw materials.

The main difference stems from a chemical and technological challenge, the cracking of which requires a uniform dispersion of the nanomaterials within the final product, without harming them - something that leads to significant improvements. The existing solutions in the market today create a balance in which the use of nanomaterials or other additives improves a desired property (such as giving plastic electrical conductivity) at the expense of harming another desired property (such as mechanical properties in the product).

So far, quite a few technologies have been developed in this field, the effectiveness of which has only been proven on a laboratory scale, but they have not been able to make the transition from the laboratory to a commercial product with economic viability. Nemo Nanomaterials is the first to crack this chemical and technological challenge, that is, to develop industrial additives that make accessible the enormous potential of applying advanced carbon nanomaterials that give new capabilities to a variety of materials without compromising desired properties, as well as to translate the solution into commercial-scale production with significant economic potential .

Moreover, Nemo Nanomaterials' technological breakthrough is the only one that enables replacing metals with plastic materials by creating the required electrical conductivity and electromagnetic shielding (EMI, interference in the operation of electrical devices resulting from the presence of electromagnetic radiation in their vicinity) - without harming the original properties of the plastic. These two solutions alone - electrical conduction and protection against EMI - allow the company to address a target market that generates 10 billion dollars a year.

Nemo's unique technology for the assimilation of advanced nano materials is relevant to a wide range of industrial materials, embodying an aggregate market potential of over 50 billion dollars.

Nemo Nanomaterials already works with 10 companies, among them multi-billion dollar corporations. Some of these companies are paying customers and some are development partners in various phases of pilots and proving the validity of the products. Working closely with the 10 companies is already bearing fruit, and Nemo Nanomaterials has begun producing its products in the volume of tons in response to commercial orders from its customers.

As a first step, the company chose to focus on the automotive industry because it is undergoing significant changes, some of which result from the manufacturer's demands for smarter vehicles and some from increasing regulation aimed at reducing the environmental pollution created by vehicles. These trends have created a demand for the market of advanced raw materials for the automotive industry, the scope of which according to forecasts will be 99 billion dollars in 2025. These raw materials are required, among other things, to reduce the weight of electric vehicles and autonomous vehicles with the aim of increasing their travel ranges, enabling the operation of systems Advanced smarts, enable the recycling of parts more easily, reduce the car's carbon footprint and more. Besides the automotive industry, it will be possible to apply the company's technology in the electronics, textile, construction, telecom, energy, aviation and space industries.
