At the board meeting that took place today (June 27.6.2012, XNUMX), Dov Beharev, Chairman of the Aerospace Industries Board of Directors, said: "Yossi Weiss is the right man at the right time for the Aerospace Industries. Yossi has deep and good experience and familiarity with the products, technologies and culture of the place, but no less important, Yossi is determined to ensure the continued growth and stability of the company even in this complex period, while making the required and necessary adjustments in the company in order to achieve this. We face a global competitive world, which is becoming more and more complex and requires us to be flexible, efficient and always one step ahead in technology."

Yossi Weiss, CEO of IAI, said at the board meeting: "You elected me to the position of CEO of IAI, the largest and most powerful of the defense companies in Israel, and the leader in many fields around the world as well. You entrusted me with a valuable deposit. I consider it a great privilege to carry this position out of a sense of weighty responsibility, personal commitment and national mission. I enter the position with great vigor, which is due to the size and complexity of the many challenges I face. I intend to invest everything required to establish and strengthen the aerospace industry as a global company, the leader in the field of unique military systems, based on technology and innovation in space, in the air, at sea and on land, combined with advanced capabilities in the field of civil aviation."

Dov Beharev wanted to thank Yitzhak Nissan, the outgoing CEO of IAI: "Nissan made an important contribution to the growth of IAI and positioning it as a leading company in its field. During his tenure, Nissan was able to increase the company's backlog of orders, sales and profitability, as well as contribute to the operational capacity of the State of Israel by strengthening the technological capabilities of the aerospace industry."
