A selection of the innovations that will be presented at the 2005 Technology Exhibition

These days the final preparations are being made for the "Technology 2005" exhibition. The exhibition will be held between June 23-20, 2005, at the Fairs and Congress Center, the Exhibition Gardens, Tel Aviv, under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Employment

"The analysts saw 2004 as the year of the great recovery of the technology market in the world and in Israel. The year 2005 is no longer a sign of recovery, but a sign of "full steam ahead", says Attorney Amir Tamri, CEO of the Fair Center. "The recession, the attacks and unemployment created a feeling of a weak and stagnant market. This year - this feeling disappeared, and its place was taken by confidence and investment in research and development, both among Israeli companies and among companies abroad. This is well felt in the demand for participation in the "Technology 2005" exhibition, which this year will be attended by over 400 different companies from Israel and abroad," says Attorney Tamri.

These days the final preparations are being made for the "Technology 2005" exhibition. The exhibition will be held between the dates of June 23-20, 2005, at the Fairs and Congress Center, Exhibition Gardens, Tel Aviv, under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Employment.

"Technology 2005" will present solutions and innovations in the fields of technology and knowledge-rich industries in Israel and the world. Among the branches at the exhibition: machines and tools for metal and tin processing, research and development, pneumatics, hydraulics, robotics, command and control automation, laser technologies, cutting-edge technologies, technological accessories and more. During the days of the exhibition, conferences and professional seminars will be held.

Below are examples of the innovations that will be presented at the exhibition:

A.M. Company Marketing and Business Development Circle will present at the 2005 Technology Exhibition the Baby Air system, manufactured by Blue-White, which provides an effective solution for administering aerosolized medications using the inhalation method for infants and premature infants. The system includes a kind of user-friendly "tent" in which the lying baby is placed. The vapors of the drug are injected as an almost imperceptible spray into the tent continuously.
According to engineer Asher Amado, who assisted in obtaining investors for the development procedures of the new product and in the development of the distribution system, the population of children up to the age of 18 who suffer from breathing problems in the US is about 7.5 million patients. In the countries of the European Union, its number can be estimated at about 4 million. "Using Baby Air is more convenient for the caregiver and the treated baby. The baby can receive the medicine even when he is asleep - without feeling at all."

According to Amdo, the innovative project that began as an idea and model at the "Technology 2003" exhibition, was developed by a team of developers under the direction of Gilad Golan and included Dr. Israel Amirav, Dr. David Grosher, Prof. Newhouse and Assaf Halamish. In Israel, the "Teva" company started marketing in Israel and connections were made for its marketing in companies in Italy, Spain, France, Portugal, DRAP, Australia, England, and Germany. "The venture has gained strength as a result of locating an Israeli strategic partner with appropriate industrial and marketing capabilities, as well as an adequate financial investment to raise the venture."
A pressure gauge saves lives

A.M. Marketing Circle will even present for the first time in Israel a prototype of the TPM (Tire Pressure Monitor) - a device for controlling air pressure and temperature in tires while driving. Inadequate tire pressure can pose a danger to passengers as it can cause tire blowouts, derailments and overturns.

New vehicles today in the USA, weighing up to 4.5 tons, must be equipped with a measuring device by virtue of a federal law, where until 2007 all vehicles moving on American roads will be required to be equipped with a pressure reading device. The Israeli development, behind which is the inventor Yosef Peschik, is a pressure gauge that performs the measurement directly by using a tiny pressure sensor that will be installed in each wheel and is able to take off at a pressure 25% lower than the desired pressure.

The device consists of two parts: a wheel unit, which is located in each wheel and measures tire pressure and temperature, and includes a sensor, transmitter and battery and a control unit, located in the driver's cabin, which receives, processes and displays the information. Each wheel unit has its own identification code, so you can identify with certainty which wheel or wheels require air filling.

According to Amado, on the assumption that a market volume of 5% can be purchased, this means 800 devices per year at a total price of 48 million dollars. "It can be assumed that the market volume will increase when manufacturers from Europe and the Far East adopt this device as a standard," says Amado.

Another innovative product that will be unveiled at the exhibition is the Xbike - a blue and white revolution, innovative and original in the field of cycling, the fruit of development by two Israeli product designers who graduated from Bezalel, Lee Golan and Nir Yafarah.
The Xbike is a unit with an independent seat and pedals unit, which moves forward and backward according to the terrain conditions and is controlled by the rider - in order to get the optimal riding position in every mode of riding, both uphill and downhill. So for example, the owner, the chair leans forward and the pedals back. When descending, the pedals lean forward and the seat back, similar to the position of the rider's body. The movements actually mimic the rider's natural riding position and allow him to ride more efficiently and comfortably in varying terrain conditions.
Kills bacteria and mold in air conditioners

Another product in A.M.'s "basket" It is Clean Air, an environmentally friendly spray, which is used to kill bacteria and mold caused by moisture in air conditioners. Clean Air is a concentrated detergent that breaks down the mold, removes it from the air conditioner and prevents renewed mold development - without the need to wash the air conditioner after use. The material developed in Israel by the engineer Arie Gor and his son Adi Gor, is marketed in a bottle with a spray head. When activated, it prevents unpleasant odors created as a result of the mold and it diffuses pleasant odors inside the house when the air conditioner is activated. The product can be used in both home and institutional air conditioners.

The Clean Air came to deal with a problem of which awareness has been increasing in recent years - the "sick building syndrome". Under the conditions found in all thermal systems in homes - central air conditioners, mini-central air conditioners, split air conditioners and window air conditioners - the mold created due to moisture in the air conditioners sometimes produces Mycotoxins bacteria which move through the air and multiply rapidly. Since in the summer months the air conditioner is the only source of oxygen, the percentages of Mycotoxins are very high in the room space. A study conducted at Cornell University in the USA shows that 25% of the population is very sensitive to the bacteria and prolonged contact with it can cause various allergic symptoms, such as skin, nose and throat irritation, runny nose, runny nose, fatigue, headaches and dizziness, and difficulty breathing in asthmatics.

According to an Amado engineer, Clean Air is a revolution in the field of domestic and institutional air conditioning." According to him, the company is currently busy developing markets around the world and recently the first samples have already been released for several European countries. According to Amado, the product is suitable for both the home consumer and the institutional consumer and that the company's engineers have already coordinated meetings for the course of the exhibition with distributors and agents from leading marketing chains from Israel and around the world.

A.M. Company Marketing and business development circle will reveal at the 2005 technology exhibition dozens of additional developments and ventures produced by Blue and White. The company deals, among other things, in recruiting strategic partners and suitable investors for ventures in Israel and around the world. Partners, which according to Amado, can serve as an adequate platform for the transformation of an idea from an immature state to success in the global sector. "The company's participation in the exhibition is intended to present and reveal innovative developments that can serve as a basis for establishing new factories in Israel. We expect a technology exhibition to serve as a basis for business acquaintances from Israel and the world, during which meetings are planned between investors/strategic partners and developers and entrepreneurs, as well as exposure to the general public."
Screwdriver and laser level

Mr. Ladiko, a representative of BOSCH in Israel, will take advantage of her appearance to present the premiere of the IXO screwdriver, a screwdriver with a lithium battery that does not lose its charging capacity and is therefore always ready for action when needed. The IXO is the size of a palm and has a total weight of only 300 grams. The minimal size and the ergonomic design allow the user to work comfortably, easily and quickly even in crowded and extremely limited places. The screwdriver is an ideal solution for any work required anywhere: at home, in the yard, in the office, and in the car, and the use of the IXO screwdriver does not require the use of force or effort. The IXO screwdriver is supplied in a gift box that includes a charger + a set of 12 different screwdriver heads.
Lediko, which also represents the SKIL company, will present for the first time an innovative laser level that allows the amateur and professional carpenter and/or builder to forget about the old and cumbersome measuring methods, and move to a higher level of precision in execution, easily and without effort. Working with the new laser level is not only more accurate and reliable, but also simpler, faster and more convenient. All that needs to be done to achieve the desired result is to place the level in a convenient place, aim the beam at the desired height and start working. The level will mark a straight and precise red line on the wall using the laser beam. You can't miss, you can't go wrong.

The level allows the presentation of a horizontal, vertical and corner line, which makes it useful and efficient for almost any task: installing tiles and other coverings, shelves, curtains, plaster walls and additions, opening a window in the wall perfectly, and any other similar task. The magnetic base gives it improved stability and it works up to a range of 10 meters. The laser is powered by 2 AA batteries and allows a working time of about 40 hours - and all this with a weight of only 1.2 kg. It is possible to purchase the level with a matching tripod.
According to Yoav Shalhav, from Ladiko, the level is designed for anyone who needs to make accurate and quick measurements as part of their work on a construction site, or in home renovations. Employees of construction companies, appraisers, surveyors, architects, engineers, air conditioning and heating contractors, carpet and parquet installers and do-it-yourself enthusiasts can use the device.
Another of Ladiko's new products at the exhibition: the PRIO, the first rechargeable sander of its kind in the world, with compact dimensions and an extremely light weight of about 700 grams. The polishing surface is combined rectangle + triangle and is also suitable for corners. The system includes a set of polishing papers. With data of 16,000 fld and a polishing area of 104 square meters, this is truly a product that may be the next trend in household tools. The company will also take advantage of its appearance to premiere the new impact screwdriver, which combines power, efficiency and optimal work comfort. The screwdriver exhibits an innovative motor that provides a powerful torque - up to 135Nm and new HEAVY DUTY batteries, which improve the working time by 50%. The impact screwdriver comes in an ergonomic and compact design and in three models of 9.6V, 12V or 14.4V.
Color XNUMXD printer

Caliber Engineering will unveil the Z Corporation's Spectrum Z510 - the first and only color XNUMXD printer on the market. The new system is a technological breakthrough in building quick prototypes and prototypes and it allows planners, engineers and designers to create prototypes and models of products under development, which look exactly like the final product - including their color and even with the labels and notes that will be on the real product.
In addition to the high quality of the colors at a depth of 24 bits, the system supports a resolution of 600x540 dots per inch, provides one of the largest construction volumes on the market (250x350x200 mm), improved surface area, higher separation and all this while maintaining printing at the highest speed in the industry, and usage costs the lowest.

The system includes an intuitive software interface, with which designers can efficiently print XNUMXD models with complex and complicated geometries. The software included in the system allows the creation of labels and inscriptions on the surfaces, and emphasizes the design messages. The user can attach textures and create spectacular realistic models.

According to Tzvi Greenberg of Caliber Engineering, the demand for color printing of high-quality models is increasing in the world market as well as in Israel.
Holograms and chickens

The Holopoint company will unveil the "HPT System M1", an innovative system of its kind for marking authenticity in a wide variety of consumer products, such as food and medicine. The solution developed by a team of Israeli engineers under the management of Israel Sher-El, uses a unique photopolymeric hologram that cannot be faked. The tiny hologram - the size of a stamp - can include any visual and textual object and is attached directly to the product you want to protect. The product even constitutes a clear marking and prominence of the manufacturer's name and gives it an advantage in the "battle on the shelf".

The hologram label that is automatically attached to the product cannot be forged, imitated, or reused and guarantees the originality of the products from the point of production, from anywhere in the world, to the final destination. It effectively prevents the introduction of fake products into the "marketing pipeline" and its entire length, and its use allows for visual identification that is certain and unambiguous, without auxiliary means and in all lighting conditions (enough match light). The tag is completely indifferent to the temperature range between minus 50° and plus 170°, to detergents and is not affected by microwave use.

The primary area for which the solution is intended is marking the authenticity of kosher food products. The demand for kosher markings stems from a common interest of the producers and the end customers for whom the sure and absolute identification of kosher markings is of utmost importance. The other areas of food are the areas of organic food, "halal" (Islamic) food, and "gourmet" food - these types of food are more expensive for the consumer, so there is also the motivation to fake them and sell substitutes. For example, the system allows, for the first time, the connection of a reliable marker directly to the exposed flesh in an automatic process that replaces the outdated methods and means used today (manual connection of an unreliable marker that is faked by the controllers).

During the "Technology 2005" exhibition, Holopoint managers plan to meet with investors and strategic partners from Israel and the world and together examine the possibility of establishing a plant in Israel, with the goal of exporting tens of millions of dollars a year to the rest of the world.

Blue-white weighing system

The Mazani Shekel company will reveal, as part of the exhibition, the "Gastronom", a computerized integral weighing system, manufactured in blue and white, intended for professional kitchens, food marketing chain restaurants and sophisticated home kitchens. The gastronom scales allow easy and accurate work in weighing the food ingredients for cooking and serving, improve the quality of the food and save money. How does it work? For example, for the purpose of preparing an exact recipe for an expensive and exclusive dish for the customer that is intended directly for the pan or the oven, or for example for the purpose of preparing a calculated dietary dish in terms of the quantities of ingredients, and also for the preparation of a high-quality recipe for a very large number of guests. The system makes it possible to weigh the amount of food inside each of the gourmet containers at each stage of the work. The system of bowls made of stainless steel, in a high-tech design, are equipped with unique software, which provides weight data and calculation of quantities and allows maximum flexibility for the needs of the user when preparing food, adding ingredients, removing liquids, and other work processes, as well as weighing expensive spices for an exact number of portions. They are actually used as weighing scales for everything, despite the appearance of a normal kitchen sink - making them an integral part of the chef's or kitchen team's work surface.

According to Nissim Yitzhak, the international marketing manager of Mazani Shekel, "Gastronom" systems are aimed at kitchens in unique niches, such as gourmet chef restaurants, chains with a unique gastronomic menu and private parties who want the last word in the field of kitchens.

posture and balance

Mazeni Shekel will also reveal for the first time an electronic diagnostic system of posture and balance, for patients by chiropractors, physiotherapists and neurologists. The scales, manufactured by the Shekel company, provide data on the patient's posture for diagnosis. Among the data: data on the distribution of body weight between the right and left leg and between the forefoot and the heels, determining the location of the center of gravity and changes in its location during the test, the standard deviation of the distribution of samples of the center of gravity points as well as the rate of movement of the center of gravity during the test. All data is collected and processed by unique software integrated into the system. The test results allow you to choose the appropriate treatment as well as examine the effectiveness of the treatment if you perform tests before and after the treatment and compare the results, the system allows you to save the test data and track it accurately. In this way, the system is used both as a diagnostic system and as part of a training program, training and healing of the patient according to his needs.
According to Uri Mittal, CEO of Mazeni Shekel, the company invested about 200000 dollars in the development of the unique weight for about two years, in light of the market demand in the USA where about 70000 professional chiropractors operate. There are about 150 chiropractors in Israel, about 80 of whom are registered with the union. The large Maccabi HMOs and Klalit HMO are already showing interest in a product that will be used in their chiropractor departments in the near future. The system is also being tested in the CHL and it will probably be put into experimental use in the first phase in the medical corps.

According to Nissim Yitzhak, the international marketing manager of Mazeni Shekel, "the system is a reliable and objective diagnostic tool that provides measured data on the patient's condition, thereby improving the efficiency of the treatment provided." The system consists of a surface measuring 35/50/7 cm, which is divided into four quarters and connected to a computer on which the software is installed that displays the results of the tests and the relevant practice sets in a friendly and easy-to-use manner. The system is very reliable and is able to reach an accuracy of up to 20 g in dynamic weighing.

The scale exists in several models: for chiropractors - for static information about weight distribution and body balance, for physical therapists - for information about the patient's physiological state and the various reactions of organs in movement situations. The more sophisticated scales will also help neurologists - for information about the physical sensations following damage to the body's sensory activity, for example, when vital organs of posture are damaged such as the sensory system in the ear, or vision, and for which there is a risk of falling.

XNUMXD models from digital images

TDIM, which specializes in providing assembly tool design services and precise industrial measurements, will present at the 2005 Technology Exhibition the PhotoModeler-Pro software of EOS Systems Inc - software for building XNUMXD models and measurements from standard digital images - when The XNUMXD analysis and processing is already possible from the first two images. The applications of the software are extremely diverse and it is intended for engineers, surveyors, appraisers, architects, archaeologists and industrialists. For example, traffic accident investigators can use the software to investigate and document accidents. The software makes it possible to compare an identical car model to the one that was damaged, examine the accident and perform an accurate damage assessment. The appraiser's assessment is critical to the fate of the vehicle and/or the consequences of the accident's causes for the results of the investigation and/or the compensation awarded by the court, or the insurance company.
Archaeologists and planners can reconstruct missing data and estimate on the basis of precise measurements of finds the complete forms of objects with maximum precision. Several attempts to restore existing buildings, using the new software, have already been made in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Recently, as part of an Israel Railways project, a measurement company chose to use the software in addition to the digital cameras that are prevalent today as a documentation tool - to measure Ottoman stone bridges, in order to make an accurate engineering assessment of their survival, for future restoration.

The use of the software is very simple: take two or more overlapping pictures of a body from different angles with two reference points for the scale, according to the photographed subject - and transfer to the software. Synchronization is performed and the photomodular calculates the information and turns the photographed body into a precise 1650D object using an advanced algorithm. The XNUMXD model is received on a dynamic screen, when it can be rotated, enlarged and moved on the screen. Throughout the process, it is also possible to add images from different types of cameras for joint processing and to connect filmed sections (overlapping) to very long bodies, as if building a tangible three-dimensional model. The software reads most of the existing formats of digital cameras such as JEPG, TIFF, TGA, PNC, PCX, PPM, PICT, IFF, PSD, PhotoCD. The price of the software: $XNUMX
Materials processing for the aerospace industries

Af-Gal will reveal at the exhibition a new material processing technology for the aviation and space industries. The new technology is the fruit of development by Greenleaf Ltd. which is based on reducing the weight of the metal while maintaining its strength and saving on production costs. According to Jacob Adler of Af-Gal, this is actually a change in the overall concept of the processing process of metal parts for aircraft and its solution is a huge achievement. The solutions refer to several areas of metal durability in the processing process, machine durability in the process of turning the various parts, the costs of the applied parts and their durability (knives), solving side effects and achieving high level finishes.

At the same time, the company will unveil four models of air filtration units that improve the quality of work in the environment of various processing machines. The new filtration units, based on technology from the "Cleanmist" company, which specializes in filtering oil clouds and smog, were developed in light of the growing awareness of environmental pollutants, especially in the machining industry. The new filter units are suitable for clean rooms, lathes, processing centers, sharpening, erosion, and in fact for any site that emits a cloud of oils and harmful particles. This is a product with a separation capacity of 99.9 percent.

for lifting heavy loads

The U.D.S. company will unveil a motorized electric transport cart, which allows anyone, regardless of their physical strength, to lift extremely heavy loads and loads weighing 700-140 kg (depending on the model) up the stairs. In the company's estimation, the main beneficiaries of the innovation will be mainly transporters who are currently forced to carry heavy weights on their backs, or using handcarts, in houses without elevators.

The electric wheelchair for climbing stairs is built of strong and light steel and aluminum alloy, equipped with a system of pneumatic wheels. When you reach the stairs, attach the free wheel system to the back of the step and press a button(!) on the cart handles. The cart pulls itself to the next step and so on. The energy for the cart comes from a removable V24 rechargeable battery. It comes equipped with an automatic charger and is also marketed with an option for a folding frame.

U.D.S. It will even reveal a drive wheel system, known by its professional name "Tanks", capable of transporting loads weighing up to 36 tons. The system, which consists of two parts - front and rear, allows very heavy machines and loads to be transported very easily. Its movement is based on an independent front wheel system driven by a hydrostatic hydraulic motor equipped with an electronic system located in the rear of the system. The control of the entire system is carried out by a steering 'plate' in the front part and there is also the possibility of steering by remote control with infrared communication. Both steering and propulsion are performed by electric hydraulic motors, which provide precise and safe control of the system's movement.
Vacuum and vacuum and vacuum

The Shaked At Salom company will reveal, as part of the 2005 Technology Exhibition (June 23 - 02, 2005, at the Tel Aviv Exhibition Grounds) a series of motorized dirt vacuum cleaners that are capable of vacuuming extremely large amounts of dirt of various types. The new vacuum cleaners, which will be shown for the first time in Israel, are able to successfully handle leaves, paper, cigarette butts, up to drink cans and bottles. They are able to pump from sidewalks, roads and even grass surfaces.
The vacuum cleaners are powered by gasoline engines with a power of 5 to 10 hp and the new line of vacuum cleaners has 3 models that cover the entire spectrum of tasks: from use in private yards and gardens to cleaning sidewalks. The cleaning width ranges from 70 to 84 cm and the cleaning power reaches up to 4300 square meters per hour. A wide-diameter suction hose can be connected to the vacuum cleaners to pump out of tree holes, or to empty trash cans.

According to Eli Freder of Salom, which is engaged in importing professional cleaning equipment and providing cleaning solutions to a wide range of consumers, representative of BILLY-GOAT from the USA, the vacuum cleaners save money and optimize the work. "They are intended for anyone who needs to carry out thorough and quick vacuuming, at various sites outside from papers and fallen leaves, push transportation, to the collection of garbage, drink cans and bottles - with self-transportation."
XNUMXD scanning robot
Ram Robotics will present one of FARO's latest developments - a laser scanner mounted on a mobile measuring arm, with the ability to three-dimensionally measure various parts, where the arm is the one that reaches the measured part and not the part that reaches the machine as is customary today. This portability enables measurements that cannot be performed today. During the scan, you can scan the desired part from all sides on different pages and use the software's ability to connect the scans so that a full three-dimensional part is obtained. The scanner allows the collection of approximately 13,000 points per second and the analysis of the findings, compared to an existing IBM model, is possible through graphic means (color map). The scanner is even equipped with the ability to self-sample the measured surface - Auto Material. Using this ability, to automatically sample the surface before starting the scan, directs the reflection level of the laser in order to obtain a maximum number of points in the scanning process and increases the level of accuracy.
Anti-theft box

Plasgad Plastic Products will unveil the "Magnum", responded to the challenge posed to it by operations and logistics managers of companies operating in a closed distribution system and developed the Magnum - a box used for reusable transportation. The new box is made of hardened plastic and has the advantage of saving the costs of closed distribution systems (systems in which goods or products are transferred from the company's logistics center to its branches), since it replaces a variety of boxes made of disposable consumables.
According to Amnon Shalman, marketing manager at Plasgad, the "Magnum" system is suitable for the needs of companies that distribute from one center in the following areas: food, cosmetics, baking, spare parts, car accessories, electrical and electronic products, computers, pharmacy chains, pharmacies, food chains, deliveries and distribution, bookstores and even money. "The transition to the use of the 'Magnum' system means significant savings in distribution costs compared to the old-fashioned methods based on biodegradable packaging based on disposable packaging units," Shalman says. "Beyond that, our system can be locked and is suitable for installing a lock to detect unauthorized opening attempts. Its use gives full control over the distribution of goods and actually prevents theft. It provides perfect physical protection of sensitive goods during the supply chain. The new box, developed in Israel, includes an integral document compartment and can be ordered in special colors and with an identification print of the customer's logo or name.
No moisture

Almost everyone who has a wall-to-wall carpet in the office, or at home, has experienced a case where due to a water leak, or flooding, the carpet is soaked in water. If it is a small amount, then it disappears on its own and is absorbed by the carpet, but a large amount may accumulate under the carpet and cause heavy damage and rot to the point of having to replace the entire carpet at great financial costs.
Arava Mivneh Agencies, from the Sherit Group, will present at the "Technology 2005" exhibition a series of facilities designed to reduce humidity in production rooms, industrial plants, offices, living rooms and other enclosed spaces. The facilities are suitable for regulating the humidity rate in rooms of various sizes, from small office rooms to large production halls. Some of them can be moved according to need.

According to Ilanit Aksiri, the Marketing Director of the Sherit Group, the devices to reduce humidity make it possible to achieve the goal without raising the temperature in the room, without needing external professionals and while constantly controlling the humidity rate. The price of the dehumidifiers is NIS 2000-10,000 depending on the size and power.

Arava agencies will also present innovative safes specially adapted to protect computers, central servers and diskettes from fire. The uniqueness of the safes is that they include ventilation openings, which are necessary for the proper operation of the server and maintaining the quality of the diskettes. During a fire, the vents are automatically sealed. The safes even survive earthquakes and falls from a height.
In the experiments done in the vaults, they were put into huge ovens at temperatures of over a thousand degrees for one to two hours. Immediately after that, the diskettes and computers were removed from them and operated normally without any interruption or damage. Important paperwork such as contracts, checks, cash, original plans, personnel files and more can also be stored in safes. The safes include the latest innovations in the field of burglary protection. They are offered in a variety of sizes starting from small safes of 29 liters up to 950 liters (cubic meter). Their price ranges from NIS 5000 to NIS 40 depending on the size and duration of fire resistance (one to two hours).
A spike for fighting fire

The Segiv company from the Sherit Group, which specializes in fire protection measures, will unveil an innovative spike designed to extinguish agricultural fires and burning vehicles. The spike designed to be stuck inside the center of the fire, or the burning engine, connects to the fire hose and allows water or foam to be sprayed directly into the burning fire in places inaccessible to firefighters. The spiker deals with types of fires that cannot be extinguished by spraying water externally, or in other ways. For example, during fires that break out inside the car engine and are not accessible to the fireman, all that needs to be done is to put out the spike through the engine hood. The water that flows through the spike extinguishes the fire. The quick extinguishing of a fire in the engine is of great importance due to the large amount of fuel in the vehicle that may accelerate the combustion.
And another innovation that will be revealed at the exhibition: sprinklers for extinguishing fires using fog. The new development is a replacement for water sprinklers in places where water splashing can cause damage to paperwork, important documents, computers or other office equipment. The sprinklers ("sprinklers") operate automatically when there is a significant increase in temperatures, which indicates the outbreak of a fire, and disperse a spray of tiny water droplets that create a high volume of water molecules diluted with oxygen molecules and thus cause the fire to be extinguished. The sprinklers were developed by the US Navy for use in sensitive rooms inside ships. Following their success, they were transferred to civilian use. They have been installed so far in opera houses in Italy where the wood and decor are sensitive to water as well as in trains and jet engine running facilities.

oil free

The Israel Compressor Industries Company (Ahliav-Airmac) will present a new product line of oil-free compressors, starting with a 5.5 hp piston compressor and ending with two-stage screw compressors, up to 700 hp.

The new development of an oil-free piston compressor provides a solution for a relatively small air flow, between 450 and 2000 liters/minute and is based on the platform of Ahliav's OH series piston compressors, which have been working very successfully for more than 40 years in many industries in Israel and abroad. The compressors are built to work up to 12 bar at a low rotation speed, with high reliability and minimal noise, and according to the company, are superior in quality to imported compressors. For larger air capacities, this year Ahliav-Airmac developed screw compressors for compressing oil-free air up to the capacities of 700 hp and flows of 76 mXNUMX/min for the needs of electronics, food, biotechnology, etc. factories.

Automation Yeruham, participating in the exhibition, will reveal additional innovations and improvements in the new generation of air compressors. The compressors are equipped with a sophisticated frequency converter, capable of changing the engine speed. When the engine speed changes, the air flow supplied by the compressor also changes and can be adjusted exactly to the demand of the air consumers at every moment. This technological breakthrough creates significant savings of up to 35 percent in energy expenses.

Yeruham Automation markets air compressors with variable speed motors. The compressors manufactured by Atlas Copco were specially developed in collaboration with Siemens and ABB for maximum energy savings. This compression technology saves electricity and compressors of this type are used to drive machines in the food industry, in the chemical industry, to drive robots in heavy industries, etc.
According to Yaron Shelgi, compressor marketing manager at Yeruham Automation, the company recently expanded its product line and today you can purchase compressors with variable engine speed in sizes from 11 kW to 315 kW - in oil-immersed compressors, "in addition, these compressors can also be purchased with an integral dryer. In oil-free compressors, the supply is even greater and these compressors can be purchased with powers of 37kW up to 900kW, with or without integral dryers. Many compressors work very successfully in Israel and save a lot of energy for their owners." According to Shelgi, the first compressor in Israel, with a capacity of 90kW, has been operating continuously since 1994.
Environmentally friendly fuel oil

The company "Rotel Adhesives and Chemicals" offers a new technology capable of turning heavy fuel oil into a cheap and standard fuel. The innovative process that will be presented for the first time at the exhibition will demonstrate how it is possible to lower the output of harmful particles PM, CO and NOX to the standard/convention level at a much lower cost than the cost of switching to burning light fuel, diesel or gas. The method is based on preventing the possible output of combustion products by adding a catalyst in the correct composition and applying the appropriate technique, while planning the short residence time in the combustion chamber. The improvers of the problem are multi-component materials, which allow heavy fuel to burn almost perfectly.
The new application is part of a product line that the company recently launched, which includes a line of "green" cleaning and energy products that are friendly to the environment and the user. The first 'plasma shoes' in the world

The Intro Safety Company presents at the 2005 Technology Exhibition Italian designed safety shoes, which demonstrate, beyond the very contemporary and fashionable appearance, the integration of innovative technologies.

For example, for the first time in the world, the manufacturer, Uniflair Safety Systems, incorporated a new technology - the Plasmaterial - adding plasma to the fabrics - a process that changes the way the shoe is ventilated - in the shoes, which were designed in the spirit of fashionable sports shoes and not as heavy work shoes. The plasma (the phase of the material after the gas state) combined with the materials used to make up the new shoes allows the fabric of the shoe to absorb sweat and evaporate it very quickly with the result that your feet are always dry. In addition, the shoes incorporate the company's OutDry technology, a new technology that allows the leather of the shoe to 'breathe' and at the same time repel water from the environment.

The shoes also incorporate unconventional materials for the industry, including Kevlar, which is usually used to make protective vests, Poliyou integrated into the soles, which is able to 'remember' the structure of the shoe's foot and adapts itself to it, and the durable "Cordura" fabric, which was developed especially for the aviation and space industry.

Miniature grinding system

The RB civil marine engineering company presents a solution to the frustrating grinding work of sailors and sailors - an electronic grinding system of the PULSARLUBE company. The miniature system is intended for deburring all those points that require deburring in systems of vessels, or in industrial machines.
According to Tamar Klang, the company's marketing manager, the electronic grinding unit, equipped with an LCD screen that displays performance data, operates using a low-voltage battery and can be installed at almost any point where continuous lubrication is required. Its installation enables control over the disposal of excess material and prevention of pollution in the seawater and the environment. The system, which is able to contain between 125cc-250cc for different types of grinding materials, in this way also saves grinding material, prevents mistakes of forgetting and/or neglecting the systems that need lubrication and also allows control of the grinding operation and its frequency through the electronic system to which the oil tank is connected.

"Technology book week"

The publishing house "Kronenberg-Wilensky", which specializes in maps and professional literature, announced that it will hold a "mini book week" as part of the 2005 technology exhibition, which will be devoted mostly to technological issues.
"The Technology Exhibition 2005 will be held this year at the same time as the Hebrew Book Week, June 15-25 in the Yehoshua Gardens, and not by chance," says engineer Danny Cronenberg, director of the publishing house Cronenberg-Wilansky, "we have come to the conclusion that the audience that comes to the technology exhibition is much more focused and professional than the general audience that comes For the Hebrew Book Week, therefore we decided to hold a kind of 'Technology Book Week' in which books with a technological aspect will be sold under special conditions."

In preparation for the exhibition, "Cronenberg-Wilensky" published several new books, including: Systematic Inventive Thinking and Solving Technological Problems, The Guide to Registering and Exploiting Patents, The Polymers and Plastics Book, The Adhesives and Sealants Book, The Book Dedicated to Science, Technology and the Battlefield, The Guide to Exporting Products, Components and services for the defense sector and a book dedicated to explosives and pyrotechnics.

According to engineer Danny Cronenberg, anyone who buys the publisher's books at the publisher's stand during a technology exhibition will receive a free colored periodic table of the elements that includes plenty of technical data on the elements and a board of geometric formulas.

Changing tables

The MK SALES company, which specializes in modular dapina systems for the machining industries, will present systems of interchangeable tables made by schunk, modular clamps and measuring dapina systems for the diverse needs of the factories in Israel. "The dream of every factory is to produce parts in large production quantities without changing the direction of the machine, or stopping it and recalibrating it every time, but the reality and the requirements for production in Israel are completely different," says Moti Kobo, owner of MK SALE. "The market in Israel in the field of chip processing is characterized by small series production, and by the development of individual parts that are characterized by high precision and good surface area. That's why the demands of production of this magnitude cause cumbersome work, multiple machine directions - sometimes several times a day. Production management is stressful, and without the required flexibility and efficiency."

The technology of schunk tables allows for flexibility and versatility in daily work and is characterized by a significant reduction in machine downtime when not in production. The table made by schunk, coordinates between the various cornering facilities required for cornering the variety of parts (clamps, putter, axis 4, paperclips) and the machine's table without screws and nuts. "It is actually a spring-loaded locking and pneumatic opening of the plate that is changed easily and quickly (about 30 seconds) on top of a high-quality harness device that is blocked and sharpened and with a repeatability of less than 0.005 mm."

The new solutions allow maximum flexibility in production, making decisions to create a variable, preparing additional work for the second and third shift, and performing repetitive work in a minimum of time (within minutes) at each required stage, as well as transferring the device and the part from machine to machine and continuing the production processes,
Transferring the part with the device to an inspection room and returning it to the machine exactly and without rejection. According to Kobo, the market in Israel has tremendous potential and he expects that the new technology will soon be used in many factories in Israel.

The really big billboards

The Konlog company will reveal a unique development that improves the printing quality of the largest digital printing machines of their kind used to print the large billboards, such as those that cover entire buildings.

According to Amichai Drezner, the owner of Conlog, due to the enormous size of the printers, the weight of the cables in the channels that led to the print head caused cumulative shaking and a decrease in the quality of the print and the resolution of the image. "These are assemblies that run 6 meters long in order to spread the ink. These distances along with the weight of the system caused problems. The new development includes channels made in the form of links with varying radii according to the customer's needs. These channels reduce the vibrations and neutralize them, thereby increasing the quality and sharpness of the print."
The technology is intended for all printers used by companies such as Nor, scitexvision, creoscitex, Indigo and Matan Digital. The company gives a 10-year warranty and commits to perfect engineering compatibility and maximum flexibility of the system it provides.

  1. It is said about this: innovations like and there is nothing to eat!
Hirvo and Tirtosh. How many innovations can be made without seeing results at the end
They always say that in three years we will see the results and no result is far from coming. It's a shame to waste resources, time, energy and knowledge.
Hopefully we will learn from this and implement it in order to avoid a huge budget waste on displays of items and technologies that will never be put into action.

  2. Well, I was really thinking about serious things like a frequency disruptor using gamma radiation or a proton missile, correction of the quantum theory, and they show me a vacuum cleaner and a wheel and an accurate meter of food. Innovation instead of investing in heat-guided missiles, modern telescopes in the field of space, China and India are already biting into its glory and its space control and prestige
