The "Homa" Directorate, in the MPAAT (Administration for Research, Military Development and Technological Infrastructure) of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, together with the American Missile Defense Agency (MDA), today (Wednesday) successfully completed a series of tests of the "Magic Wand" system ". The success of the experiment is a significant milestone, towards the final experiment and the announcement of the system as operational in the near future. The experiment was carried out under the leadership of the Rafael company from an experimental field in the center of the country.
The tests tested the capabilities and performance of the entire "Magic Wand" system, which is considered an innovative and revolutionary system in the family of interception systems in the world. This system, which will be part of the multi-layered defense system, will allow in the near future, together with the existing components of Israel's defense system against missiles, to deal more effectively with threats to the State of Israel. In the experiment, the system's capabilities were tested in several scenarios, which simulate the targets the system is designed to deal with during a conflict.
In the last test after the launch of the target missile, the MMR radar detected it, and transmitted its data to the firing management center, which calculated the defense plan against it. The "Magic Wand" interceptor was successfully launched and performed all the stages of the flight and destroyed the target as planned.
The main contractor for the development of the "Magic Wand" weapon system is the Rafael company, which operates in cooperation with the American "Raytheon" company. The MMR radar was developed by Elta - a division and subsidiary of the Aerospace Industry. The control and control system "Shaked Zahav" is developed by Elishara from Elbit Systems Group.
The "Magic Wand" system is intended to provide an additional layer of protection against missiles and rockets in the short and medium range (with an emphasis on precise threats), as well as to add interception opportunities to the "Arrow" weapon system, thus enabling the thickening of the defense system against the missiles and rockets threats to the State of Israel. The success of the experiment is an important milestone in the operational ability of the State of Israel to defend itself also against the threats expected in the arena.

The US financed the project so that growth was added to the economy. The cooperation with Raytown is in fact the transfer of technology and knowledge from Rafal to Raytown with arm bending by the American government because this company has so far failed in a big way.
I don't understand the sentence "to add interception opportunities to the "Arrow" weapon system". After all, the arrow is designed to intercept ballistic missiles outside the atmosphere, while the wand is designed to intercept all kinds of targets in the atmosphere - especially non-ballistic targets such as airplanes, cruise missiles, and perhaps also help the Iron Dome in certain cases. Any target that the arrow fails to hit will disintegrate upon entering the atmosphere into many pieces and the wand has no chance of intercepting the warhead and not another part (this is how the Patriot failed in the first Gulf War). So there is no overlap between the operating areas of the arrow and the wand.
