Ran Bar, Director General of the Ministry of Science and Technology, in accordance with the earlier agreement with Minister MK Yizhar Shai, ends his term as Director General of the Ministry. Bar will remain in his position until a replacement is found and an overlap is made as required.

I was impressed last week to discover an office that is run in an exemplary manner, with creativity, wisdom and the extraordinary human relations that characterize Ran. Under his talented hands, tens of thousands of Israelis were exposed to the world of science and acquired technological professions, satellites were launched for groundbreaking scientific missions, and hundreds of innovative studies redefined the limits of the possible. I thank Ran for his many years of service and contribution to the country and science, and I have no doubt that he will continue to contribute his talent to the citizens of Israel."
