The Minister of Education and Chairman of the Council for Higher Education, Naftali Bennett, decided to extend the term of office of the Chairman of the Committee for Planning and Budgeting (VTC), Prof. Yaffe Zilbarschat. Zilbreschatz will complete three years in the position this coming September, at the end of which her tenure can be extended, as is customary, by another three years.
During Zilbreschat's tenure as chairman of the Higher Education System, the budget of the higher education system expanded from 10 billion NIS to 12 billion NIS between 2016-2018.
