The "Nano-Israel 2010" conference and the accompanying exhibition will be held this year between November 8 and 9 at the Dan Panorama Hotel in Tel Aviv and will focus on innovations and business opportunities in the fields of energy, water, environment, nanomaterials, nanoelectronics, nanophotonics, nano -Bio and nanomedicine. The event is intended for industry and business people from around the world, and will serve as a meeting point for companies, venture capitalists, private funds, institutional and corporate investors, regulatory, technology and development people, government decision makers, as well as academics, scientists and researchers.

The three chairpersons of the conference are Nava Savarsky Sofer, one of the leaders of the Israeli life sciences industry and former CEO of Ipsos, Dan Wilensky from INNI (the Israeli National Nanotechnology Initiative) and Prof. Aryeh Tsavan, from Bar Ilan University. "Israel is internationally recognized as a center of knowledge and innovation in research and nano technologies, and its achievements can be seen in a variety of industrial fields such as communications, electronics, computing, security, medicine and life sciences," says Seversky Sofer. "Since 2002, the number of researchers in the nano field in Israel has doubled (about 350 people as of 2009) and in the field you can find dozens of Israeli nanotechnology companies that continue to operate here despite the surrounding economic difficulties. Investors and potential business partners definitely see Israel as a promising destination and they will all be here in Tel Aviv this November."

The conference was held in collaboration with INNI - the Israeli national nanotechnology initiative and the nanotechnology centers at the various universities and the organization of Kens Erokot.

  1. I would go to hear the lectures at the conference. But registration fees for the conference cost NIS 1100, which is a lot.
There is one interesting person at the conference who came from abroad and you should listen to him:
    Prof. Andre Geim
Let him talk about the graph there.
