The Department of Research and Technology at the Hungarian Embassy in Israel, headed by the scientific attaché Laszlo Korani, initiated a first-of-its-kind project to formulate joint research programs in the field of nanotechnology between Israeli, Palestinian and Hungarian scientists.

The joint scientific project is headed by Dr. Danny Porat from the Department of Physical Chemistry and the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and his former student, Dr. Mochels Swan, director of the Nanotechnology Laboratory at Al-Quds University, who did his doctoral thesis at the Hebrew University . The Hungarian team is headed by Dr. Anders Pongor, who specializes in those fields.

The project received the blessing of the president of Al Quds University, Dr. Seri Nusayeva, who sees nanobiology and nanomedicine as an important platform for cooperation between the parties.

The first step for cooperation between the scientists will be a joint seminar which will be held in Hungary between December 10-13, funded by the Department of Research and Technology at the Hungarian Embassy in Israel.

During the seminar, plans for joint research will be formulated and a basis will be laid for working relationships between the Israeli and Palestinian scientists. The project budget is about 400,000 dollars.

  1. I don't know why public relations are underestimated here.
    Good PR may prevent war.
The project in question is not a high-investment project because it is simply a project for formulating research plans and not for carrying them out.
I hope and assume that after the plans are formulated they will be prioritized and additional funds will be allocated for the research itself.

  2. It is nothing more than public relations and advertising.
It's just funny, I hope they fly abroad a lot and know how to enjoy the little money.

  3. with 400K$ you can buy falafel for all delegates of the commission for a whole week, enough time to come up with a good plan.
