CIA forecast: Israel fanatics will endanger peace

Zealots in Israel and Islamic extremists may endanger world peace; The Middle East will continue to be an explosive barrel; America will remain the number 1 power, but India and China will challenge its supremacy; The gap between rich and poor will only grow. Unoptimistic forecast for 2020

Zealous Jews in Israel, along with extreme Islam, Hindu nationalists and Christian groups from South America may pose a danger to world peace in 2020 - according to the report of the National Intelligence Council in the United States.
The report, which is published by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), is based on consultations with independent experts from around the world, and is intended to help decision makers and policy makers in Washington plan their steps.
The editors of the report see great importance in promoting peace and normalization between Israel and the Arab world, as a means of curbing extremism.
A report does not predict whether there will be world peace in 15 years. He analyzes the various scenarios and, among other things, states that "in the Middle East, market reforms, more democracy and progress towards Arab-Israeli peace may block progress towards a more extreme policy in the region, and encourage greater agreements in the transatlantic alliance".
"The Middle East may remain at the center of an arc of instability - from Africa to Central Asia. This provides fertile ground for terrorism and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction," it said.
The report's editors warn: "Hindu nationalists, evangelical Christians in Latin America, Jewish religious fanatics in Israel and Muslim extremists - they have a worldview that supports changing the face of society, a tendency to create a sharp mechanism for distinguishing between good and evil, and a system of religious belief that links local conflicts to a major struggle More".

China and India are breathing in America's neck

Even in 15 years, at least according to the report's editors, the United States will maintain its position as the number 1 power economically, technologically, and militarily. But different countries will challenge its supremacy. The biggest threat to it will not come from Europe, but rather from China and India.
The report indicates the expected geopolitical changes, the increasing sense of insecurity and the worsening of internal conflicts. The development of biotechnology, it is written, promises the medicines of the future, but terrorism will also draw strength from it.
The year 2020 will be marked by the movement of populations from the Middle East and Africa, mainly due to the aging of the population in the West and the demand for working hands. This is especially true in Europe, which, together with Japan, is "trying to adapt relief and integration systems for immigrants".
Two thirds of the world's citizens, the authors note, do not benefit from globalization and economic prosperity. "The big concern is in a large number of fallen countries, with extremism in the form of extreme Islam."
"The global picture of the year 2020 states that globalization is unchangeable, but it will be less westernized," the editors conclude. The gap between the haves and the have-nots is expected to widen.
The report also talks about the strengthening of entities that are not states. In this context, the Islamic suit script is mentioned, "which is the biggest challenge because it rejects the principles according to which the international system was built".
