Stratosphere

Google's vice president for search, Alan Eustace broke the record for falling from the stratosphere, set only two years ago in the well-publicized operation of the Austrian Felix Baumgartner. This time the preparations for the event were kept secret. It took off to an altitude of 42 km from the abandoned Roswell Air Force Base, New Mexico, where the first record was set in 1960 by Colonel Joseph Kittinger of the US Air Force.
