Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) is unveiling the RAM-NT for the first time - an armored and protected vehicle designed to detect and destroy tanks. The RAM-NT will be displayed at the 2012 FIDAE exhibition, which will be held from March 27-30 in Santiago, Chile. The new armored vehicle is based on the RAM Model 3 vehicle, developed and manufactured at IAI's Ramta plant in Beersheba. The RAM-NT's main weapon system is four laser-guided Leopard (Short-Range) SR missiles mounted on a hydraulic "platform" that allows for covert and protected storage during movement and lifting of the missile launcher for firing.
