Sleds to fuel airplanes: Israeli project turns agricultural waste into clean energy

Black soldier fly larvae – intended to prevent housefly infestations in agricultural areas – have been discovered by an Israeli startup as a profitable raw material that could be used in the biogas industry and as sustainable jet fuel.
