In Washington DC, the Israel Space Agency and Aerospace Industry Pavilion opened last night (Tuesday), which is presented at the IAC World Space Congress. The Israeli pavilion was inaugurated by Minister of Science and Technology Ofir Akunis, Avi Blasberger, head of the Israel Space Agency and Ofer Doron, director of a space plant at the Aerospace Industry.

Science and Technology Minister Ofir Akunis: "Israel is at the center of global interest in promoting cooperation in science and innovation. The Israeli pavilion at the annual conference of the international space industry is an excellent opportunity, which brings together dozens of countries, to reveal to them our magnificent space industry and with it dozens of technological developments."

In the Israeli pavilion, selected models of products from the extensive Israeli space industry are displayed, including: the Genesis spacecraft, the Venus satellite, the BGUSAT satellite, Dokifat satellites, the radiation protection suit of the Stemrad company, a laboratory for microgravity experiments of the Space Pharma company, a model of a Space Drone satellite, a satellite of the NSL company Comm, a watch for space tracking of Mobit survivors and more.

This year, it is the 70th year of the Congress and about 150 space agencies and leading space industries from around the world are presenting. Israel is represented by about 40 senior officials, including representatives of the various industries, academia, the Israel Space Agency and graduates of the International Space University whose studies will be presented at the conference.
The IAC conference was held in 2015 in Jerusalem.

This evening (Wednesday) Minister Akunis continued to New Jersey where he will meet with the Secretary of State Tahesha Way, with the aim of promoting a new and updated scientific and technological agreement between the two countries, with tremendous potential for cooperation between them.
