The Ministry of Science and Technology will present a huge complex of science, technology and space as part of the President's Open House in Hol HaMoed Sukkot. In the complex, which will be open to the general public tomorrow, Monday, October 17, 2011 starting at 8:30, at the President's House in Jerusalem, innovative scientific developments promoted by the Ministry of Science and Technology in recent years will be presented, as well as satellites and missiles that the Israel Space Agency of the Ministry of Science and Technology was involved in developing.
The open house event at the President's House on the Sukkot holiday is being held for the third year in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology, and as part of it, the general public is invited to visit the President's House, shake the President's hand, visit his Sukkot to get an impression of the house as well as displays from the Ministries of Welfare, Environmental Protection and Agriculture. This year the entire event will be marked by the quality of the environment.
In the space complex of the Ministry of Science, developments related to civilian space that are used for the environmental needs of four aerospace industries will be presented: developments by Mbat, including the TECSAR and OPSAT 300 satellites; Elbit's developments, including four cameras that demonstrate the development of space cameras and a Venus camera for observation; And Rafael's development of a Moss engine stage 3 model of a Comet rocket. The highlight is the development of MLM Industries Aerospace Industries, which will place a phase 3 comet missile, which is 10 meters high, in the courtyard of the President's House.
In the science and technology complex, studies related to the infrastructure plan and the regional research and development centers of the ministry will be presented, including: a colorful display of animals and sponges that live in the sea; development of a robotic butterfly; Innovative development for wastewater treatment; and a restored 2500-year-old sea anchor at a height of 3 meters. In addition, the science museums from Jerusalem and Haifa will present "science magic", experiential science displays and a show of "sporty" robots.
In addition to the exhibition complexes of the various offices, the audience will be invited around 12:00 to watch the performances of the Andalusian orchestra and the singer Galit Giat.
Entry to the President's House will be open to the general public on Monday, October 17, 2011, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The Aerospace Industry will present advanced developments in the field of science at the Mishkan of the Presidents of Israel

The Aerospace Industry (IAI) will present selected products from its development at the Israel President's Residence in Jerusalem, as part of an exhibition of Israeli developments in the field of science. As every year, the President Mr. Shimon Peres hosts a reception in his sukkah and tours the various exhibits and representatives. The products will be displayed in the premises of the Israel Space Agency of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
This year, IAI will present a life-size model of a TECSAR satellite, a model of the third stage of the "Comet" satellite launcher, and a small robotic platform simulating a butterfly in flight.
The TAA has been dealing with space technologies for about 30 years. These technologies led to the construction and operation of the low satellite series, the LEO (Low Earth Orbit), including the "Ofek", "Eros" and "Optsat" families of its types (satellites with day capabilities) and TECSAR, (synthetic radar) - SAR, with night and all-weather capabilities), and of the GEO (Geo-stationary Earth Orbit) series of communication satellites of the "Amos" family.
TEA has a proven ability in all phases of the space programs - starting with the characterization and definition of the operational requirements with its various clients, in the construction, launching, and ending with the operation of the satellites in space.
The company, as the main contractor for space issues in Israel, operates subcontractors in Israel and around the world to improve and upgrade the products. In the low-level satellites (the LEO), the IA has integrated miniaturization technologies, which allowed the reduction of the weight and volume of its satellites without compromising their performance. This makes the satellites particularly suitable for constellation satellites (a group of satellites in space).

"Colorful display of animals and sponges that live in the sea"
Wow, nice, no word on the research to develop drugs from those animals for treatments against cancer cells? Something about the collaborations in the field with major research centers in the world? Something about the field of marine biotechnology that is finally starting to raise its head in Israel?
The main thing is that there is an aviation industry to write about... again... And again... And again... and again……
