Ramot company will unveil nine new medical technologies at Biomed

The company Ramot near Tel Aviv University Ltd. will reveal for the first time during the "ILSI-Biomed 2008" week that will be held this May in Tel Aviv, 9 new technologies that are candidates for commercialization. The gross, in metabolic diseases, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, as well as new methods for transporting drugs.

The technologies will be presented by researchers and scientists from Tel Aviv University, including Prof. Itai Benhar, Dr. Rina Rosin-Erbsfeld, Prof. Rimona Margalit, Dr. Brita Hardy, Prof. Ehud Gazit, Prof. Mia Horowitz, Prof. Hagit Alder-Finkelman , Prof. Beka Salomon, and Prof. Avi Weizman.

"We see the planned meeting as a golden opportunity for companies, entrepreneurs, venture capital funds and investors to come and get a closer look at some of the hot technological promises in the fields of life sciences and medicine," says Dr. Yehuda Niv, CEO of Ramot. The guest lecturer at the event will be Dr. Michael Kaufman, CEO of EPIX Pharmaceuticals, who will talk about the behind the scenes of the company's story, and how it turned from an idea born at Tel Aviv University into a leading biomedical company.
