New appointments in the Council for Higher Education and the Committee for Planning and Budgeting

The Council for Higher Education today approved three senior appointments in the Council for Higher Education and the Committee for Planning and Budgeting: Prof. Faisal Azaiza and Michal Abadi - Boyanjo as members of the Committee for Planning and Budgeting and Prof. Nahum Finger for the position of Vice Chairman of the Council for Higher Education

The Council for Higher Education approved the proposals of the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Legislative Assembly, Gideon Sa'ar, to appoint Prof. Faisal Azaiza and Ms. Michal Abadi - Boyanjo as members of the OT;

The council also approved the Minister of Education's proposal to elect Prof. Nahum Finger to the position of vice-chairman of the council. Nahum Finger for the position of Deputy Chairman of the Council for Higher Education.

Prof. Faisal Azaiza from the University of Haifa was appointed as a member of the planning and budgeting committee. Prof. Azaiza (53) has served as a member of the Council for Higher Education since 2003. In addition, Azaiza previously served as head of the Deboria local council and chairman of the board of directors of the community centers association.

Ms. Michal Abadi - Boyanjo was elected as a member of the Planning and Budgeting Committee as a public representative. Ms. Abadi-Boyanjo (44) has served since 2006 as the vice president of the International Bank, head of the accounts and main accounting department, as well as a member of the bank's management. Previously, Abadi-Boyanjo served as the vice president of the Ministry of Health and economic advisor to the Minister of Health. She also served as a member of the Securities Authority's plenary session and chair of the Authority's audit committee.

Abadi - Boyanjo will take up her position this July and she will replace Brigadier General (Ret.) Aharon Beit-Helhami who is finishing a term of about 7 years as a public representative in Vat.

Prof. Nahum Finger was elected to the position of Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly. In the past, Prof. Finger served as Rector of Ben-Gurion University and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the university.
