The contract, amounting to tens of millions of dollars, was signed with IAI, the manufacturer of the satellite

Elbit Systems announced that its subsidiary, Elbit Systems Electro-Optics Eloup Ltd. ("Eloup"), won a contract from the Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd. ("IIA") to supply a space camera to be installed on the OPTSAT 3000 photography satellite intended for Italy. The scope of the contract, which includes the Jupiter-type space camera and related services, amounts to approximately 40 million dollars and will be completed over the course of three and a half years.
Adi Dar, CEO of Alup, said: "We are proud of the fact that we were chosen to supply the space camera to Italy.
