A classic lunar eclipse, it's just a shame that they didn't see it from anywhere in Israel

In many places in Israel it was possible to observe the longest lunar eclipse in recent years and one of the longest in the 21st century. There were also places where clouds covered the sky, especially near the coast

Tonight the lunar eclipse that has been talked about a lot in the last few days took place. The earth's shadow covered the moon and hid the sunlight from its face. The little red light reflected from the Earth's upper atmosphere gave the moon a somewhat mysterious hue.

Unfortunately, I have to rely on photos from the Internet and reports from friends who watched the eclipse because precisely at the peak of the eclipse, a huge cloud covered about half of the sky above Ramat Aviv.
The attached photo was taken from the recording of the live broadcast inThe website of the Israeli Astronomical Society.

If and when I receive higher resolution images from observers who photographed the eclipse, I will publish them later in this news.

  1. The whole family saw the eclipse from our balcony, the clouds did hide a number of minutes but they faded and so we could enjoy a long lunar eclipse in front of our eyes. A spectacular sight.

  2. Bro, you didn't have enough patience. At some point the cloud went away, and the moon went dark before our eyes. I waited until midnight, and on the way home the moon began to be re-exposed to the light - so beautiful! If I had known there would be a lack of photos, I would have taken a photo.
