An earthquake hit Lebanon today in the Mediterranean region northwest of the city of Tyre. The noise was also strongly felt in the neighboring countries of Lebanon. Foreign news agencies report that in Lebanon people fled their homes, there are reports of injuries and damage to homes and property.

In Israel, 2 earthquakes were reported, one with a magnitude of 5.1 on the Richter scale and the other with a magnitude of 5.3. The Geophysical Institute confirmed that the noise was felt all over the country.

This week a 4.1 magnitude rumble was already felt in Israel, but today's tremors were much stronger. As we know, the Richter scale is not a linear scale, and the noise level at each level is 10 times greater than the level before it. An earthquake with a magnitude between 5 and 6 on the Richter scale is considered a moderate earthquake.
