ColPlant, which develops medical products and solutions based on human collagen produced in tobacco plants, won the Nano Technology Product of the Year award at the "Nano Israel 2012" conference. The award was given to Coleplant by the Chief Scientist of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, R&D and the professional committee at the international conference held last week in Tel Aviv. Along with Coleplant, Elbit also won this prestigious award.

Yehiel Tal, CEO of CoolPlant: "We are happy and proud of the recognition of CoolPlant as a leading and groundbreaking company, and of our winning the Product of the Year award. The technology developed by Colplant allows the use of human collagen molecules, extracted from genetically modified tobacco plants, to produce a wide variety of medical implants that help restore and rebuild connective tissues in the human body such as skin, bones and tendons. During 2012, we plan to receive approval to market in Europe (CE Mark) for two products for healing chronic wounds developed by the company, and at the same time we are preparing to market these products in the European market."

Colplant was established in 2004, as a medical device company focused on promoting regenerative medicine through the use of technologies for processing recombinant human collagen and other recombinant proteins, which are the property of Colplant. Colplant develops a wide range of products based on biological materials, which can be used in many medical markets, including orthopedics, wound healing, cardiology and general surgery.
The "Nano-Israel 2012" conference was held in collaboration with INNI - the Israeli national nanotechnology initiative - and the nanotechnology centers at the various universities and was supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The "Nano-Israel 2012" conference presented innovations and business opportunities in the fields of energy, water, environment, Nanomaterials, nanoelectronics, nanophotonics, nanobio and nanomedicine.

  1. Nanotechnology = the biggest revolution in human history...
Everything we see in our daily life will be reproduced in nano technologies.
And in food products there will be a great revolution!!!! It will be possible to grow enough wheat for an entire country
In a few individual greenhouses and there will be no need to waste a lot of water and there will be no hunger and famine in the world.
