Also presenting at the conference will be the developer of the Apple Mac and Newton computers, and a vice president of Samsung
The ChipEx2019 conference - the annual conference of the Israeli microelectronics industry will be held this year on May 12-13 in Tel Aviv with the participation of a number of industry executives who will come to Israel from all over the world. Among the participants are Peter Foley, a member of the original development team of the Apple Mac and Newton computers and currently an entrepreneur and director of the fascinating start-up company Ascenium, Roger Carpenter, the development manager of Google's artificial intelligence processors and Axel Fischer, the vice president of Samsung Semiconductor Europe will arrive in Israel in about a week to take part At the main conference of the Israeli chip industry.
The conference will also be honored with the presence of the Minister of Science and Technology, MK Ofir Akunis, and Light Eltimim, the European President of semi - the global chip industry association, who will come to Israel especially to participate in ChipEx2019.
Dozens of additional lecturers from all over the world will come to the conference, which is considered the professional summit meeting of all those involved in the design, development, and manufacture of chips, components, electronic cards and integrated systems. The conference will begin with a festive opening ceremony for industry executives on May 12, in the evening, at the Hilton Tel Aviv Hotel's banquet center. The next day (May 13, 2019) a professional seminar consisting of 10 lecture tracks will be held at the fair center, the exhibition grounds in Tel Aviv, along with a large exhibition in which dozens of suppliers and manufacturers from about 20 different countries will take part.
Shlomo Gerdman, general chairman of ChipEx2019, says: "In the past year, the chip industry has experienced significant renewal and growth in the number of new companies added to it. The growth stems from a number of new markets that have been added to the automotive, IOT, G 5, robotics and wearable computing markets. These are the fascinating fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning, which is why we put emphasis on this field this year. This is another important growth engine for the chip industry that encourages the establishment of companies and the development of modern computing resources. I am happy and proud that we were able to secure the participation of the senior experts who will come to the ChipEx2019 conference from all over the globe.
About 100 companies supplying components, tools and services, from the USA, Germany, Italy, France, Great Britain, Russia, the Netherlands, Belgium, India, Japan, China and Taiwan, will present at the exhibition innovative tools and services offered to the local microelectronics industry. About 1,500 people from the industry are expected to participate in the conference, including engineers, development managers, vice presidents, CEOs of companies in the field of microelectronics, venture capital investors and professional experts for the industry. The ChipEx2019 conference is organized by ISG Ltd. in collaboration with SIA - the industry association in the USA, and SEMI - the international association of the chip industry.
All the professional lectures at ChipEx2019 were selected by a professional steering committee consisting of senior academics and industry members headed by Prof. Ran Ginosar, head of the Research Center for VLSI Systems at the Technion and professional chairman of ChipEx2019.
Following the discussion held by the steering committee, Prof. Ran Ginosar said: "This year we chose to present at the conference a series of modern tools as well as the most innovative and interesting technologies that will help industrial engineers develop the next generation of chips. Also, this year we devoted several dedicated tracks to the hot topics in the industry, including the fields of artificial intelligence, automation, the Internet of Things (IOT, and more. From the many requests received, we chose the best ones and I am happy to allow the people of the industry to learn about these innovations through their presentation at ChipEx2019.
