The organizers of the event, the Israeli Life Science Association and the "Kens" company, estimate that over 6000 visitors are expected to take part in the event, of which nearly 1000 are guests from abroad, including CEOs and executives of biopharma and medical device companies, scientists and researchers, entrepreneurs , researchers, shapers of public opinion in the field and managers of venture capital funds and private investors, from Israel and abroad. The event, which has already gained international recognition and is considered one of the largest in the global industry, will be held between June 15 and 17, 2009, at the David Intercontinental and Dan Panorama hotels in Tel Aviv.

The chairmen of the organizing committee are: Ruthi Alon, a partner in the Pitango venture capital fund, and chairwoman of the Israel Life Science Industry (ILSI), which she founded in 2005, and Israel Makov, former president and CEO of Teva, one of the leaders The economy and the pioneers of the biotech industry in Israel, and currently the chairman of the medical equipment company Givan Imaging of the IDB Group. According to Alon, "The goal, and especially in light of the general situation, is to bring to Israel as many foreign investors, business development managers and business delegations as possible and to present to them the 'hottest' and most mature companies in the local industry."

"As the market conditions become tougher, there is more and more need for new business models" says Makob. "At the upcoming conference, the best minds and forces in the field will try to answer the questions that are troubling the industry in Israel and around the world and to examine which are the right models not only for survival, but mainly for success. I believe that the new technologies and the interaction between the exhibiting companies and the thousands of visitors will create additional leverage for the local industry," says Makob.
