Astronomical phenomenon tonight and midnight: the full moon will be 15% larger and 30% brighter than the average for full moons

A combination of the time of the full moon and the time of its approach to the closest point to the earth in its orbit will create an especially bright moon. At the same time, Mars is at the closest point in its current orbit - about 100 million km from Earth

The moon will be close to the earth on the night between Friday and Saturday, in this case it will also rise when it is at miluo, and therefore it will be seen as the biggest and brightest moon this year.

Astronomers explain that on January 30, the moon will reach its peak fullness three hours after reaching Phrygia - the closest point in its orbit, which will make it the brightest full moon of all 2010.

Although every month the moon is full and every month it passes at a point close to its orbit, but when these two events collide, they cause a phenomenon.

Regardless, this is the second full moon in January, a phenomenon known as a "blue moon." The reason for this is that since the Gregorian calendar which is widely used all over the world is based on months that are two or three days longer than lunar months, there are cases where a phenomenon such as the new moon or the full moon occurs twice in the same month.

In addition, not far from the moon we can also observe Mars, which on the 27th of the month (Tuesday) reached the closest point in its orbit, although it is not a really close approach in 2003 that gave rise to the Mars thermal. This transition took place on Wednesday, at 20:44 Israel time and the distance between the two planets reached 99.3 million kilometers.

  1. Michael, believe me, your king, you are exactly what I saw, only in reality it is a million times more beautiful

  2. It wasn't a dream, believe me, if it was something serious I would have brought you some 20 witnesses if not more

  3. Last night I was sitting with friends in the garden and I just looked up and suddenly I saw that around the moon there is a huge circle!!! and symmetrical and there weren't any clouds I'm interested in what it was and I think whoever saw it won because it was one of the most beautiful things everyone who sat with me and I told him they were amazed because it was one of the most beautiful things I've seen!... If possible an answer to why it was if You know….and it was really the giant of the circle!…..thank you

  4. Haha what a piece, I really noticed the moon tonight in that it is exactly full and also seen in all its glory. This was the feeling more than previous times, and now there is a justification for it.

  5. Strange in my father's eyes, because instead of admitting a mistake, you try to justify it. Not technically or otherwise: there was no "sequel" to the full moon, and the full moon was full on December 31st, not January 1st. This month there is specifically no second full moon, because this is the first full moon. It is better to admit a mistake and not look underground for reasons to justify it.

  6. It is possible that the source from which I found the figure was wrong about the definition of the moon, but maybe not that this month is also the second full moon. The night of the full moon on December 31st was followed on January 1st. Therefore we can technically say that the two new ones had two full moons. Of course, it also depends on the time zone on Earth.

  7. Hello father
The term blue moon (whose color is not blue of course) occurs approximately once every two and a half years and refers to the appearance of a full moon 13 times in one calendar year. Most recently, the phenomenon occurred last month, that is, last year, on the night of December 31, 2009, so what we have today is not a "blue moon" but "just" a spectacularly beautiful Phrygian full moon.

  8. Lechhan, the senders of the email are not so sophisticated, they don't publish it when Mars is really approaching the earth but towards August 27th as their holy prophet predicted in 2003, and since then they haven't bothered to update.

  9. Sorry, father, but you are wrong. A blue moon is the second moon in December and not in January.
The blue moon phenomenon occurred last month when the full moon appeared on December 2 and 31. There is no blue moon this month.

  10. Five or so, at sunset. By the way, some sources claim that today will be the peak day. I assume that without accurate equipment it will be difficult to distinguish between the brightness of the moon today and tomorrow. The next two nights will be bright enough.
