Nominations for the 2015 Rapaport Awards for Excellence in Biomedical Research have opened

The Rapaport Family Foundation announced the opening of applications for the Rapaport Awards for Excellence in Biomedical Research for 2015. A prize of $60 will be awarded to a senior researcher for research that has led, or can lead to the development of a drug or medical device for the treatment or diagnosis of a disease, or research, which is therefore a breakthrough of significant innovation, and a debut prize of $40 will be awarded to a young researcher, whose research is Has the potential to impact the field of medicine, or which significantly promotes a unique medical field.

The awards in the biomedical research track are awarded in collaboration with the Rapaport Research Institute, at the same time as the Rapaport Art Prize awarded by the Rapaport Family Foundation in collaboration with the Tel Aviv Museum of Art and an award for trailblazing women who bring about change in Israeli society, awarded by the Rapaport Family Foundation in collaboration with Lasha magazine '. The advisory committee for the award, headed by Prof. Aharon Chachanover, consists of leading researchers and scientists from Israel and abroad. In 2014, the award was won by Prof. Yair Reisner from the Weizmann Institute of Science and Dr. Jacob Nachmias, from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
