The Amos 3 satellite which is currently being prepared for its launch at the Baikonur Space Center in Kazakhstan will only be launched on April 24 and not during March as planned so far. In the announcement made by the company to the stock exchange, it was stated that the reason for this was a request that came from the manufacturer of the satellite and responsible for its launch - the Aerospace Industry.

The Amos 3 satellite is supposed to replace Amos-1 in space, which will end its service. It is an improved version of the Amos 2 satellite, alongside which it will operate, and in addition to television and radio broadcasts and data transfer services on the fixed beams (the East Coast, the Middle East and Central Europe) Amos 3 will provide services through the antennas with the mobile beam to any point in the Middle East, Europe, Africa and parts of the continent America: United States, Canada and South America.

Recall We revealed about six months ago on the science website Because the Amos 3 satellite will be the first western satellite to use the technology of direct injection into geostationary orbit using the third stage of the Zenith rocket. This action will save a lot of fuel that was used in Amos 1 and 2 satellites to raise the satellite from a low transit orbit to a geostationary orbit at an altitude of 36 thousand kilometers. Now fuel will only be required for driving the satellite to the exact point in its orbit and not for raising the altitude. This is what the managers of the Space Company and the managers of the Amos 3 project at the Space Company and the Aerospace Industry told a press tour held at the Amos 3 assembly facility in Yehud.
