Now we are waiting for the deployment of the solar collectors. So far, everything has gone smoothly * In this news, a video of the launch is also attached
As of 15:30, today (28/4/08) the operation to launch the Israeli communication satellite Amos 3 continued successfully. The satellite was launched at eight o'clock in the morning Israel time and went through a series of engine ignitions, first of the first stage and the second stage, and then three ignitions and three shutdowns of the third stage that brought it to the geostationary orbit, at an altitude of 36 thousand km.
Now we have to wait for the announcement from the satellite operators in the aerospace industry about the deployment of the solar collectors, which will enable the start of the satellite's test broadcasts. These transmissions will be carried out in a somewhat distant area in the sky (2.5 degrees West), because Amos 3 transmits on the same frequencies on which the Amos 1 and Amos 2 satellites operate today. After the trial transmissions are carried out to the satisfaction of the people of the Space Communications Company, the owners of the satellite, it will move to the side of Amos 1 and -2 at 4 degrees West.
When Amos 3 goes into active service, the next step will be to retire Amos 1 and launch it into a higher orbit that serves as a "cemetery for communication satellites" where it will remain off forever.

I remember correctly around 200 km
To Tal Einbar and at what height is the space station
Close to 39000 km, and on the way to round the track at 36000.
A question for Tal Einbar, please, at what height is the helicopter at the moment
