His research on multinational companies in services is recognized as essential breakthroughs. His book The No Risk Society was far in advance of the views that speak today about the risk of expanding government roles
Professor Aharani, the first dean of the Recanati Faculty of Management and a world expert in international management and business policy, founded the Faculty of Management in 1966 and initiated the establishment of the LAB (Training Studies in Management) and the "Institute for Business Research in Israel", the first management research institute in Israel.
During this period he established the foundations, work procedures, management curricula and the basic rules for research in management sciences. He even initiated actions for the return to Israel of teachers and researchers in the management sciences, to foster relations with the business world and to prepare educational material specific to Israel.
Aharani did much to recognize the Faculty of Management at Tel Aviv University as an important center in management sciences. His research dealt with, among other things, the image of the Israeli manager, the qualities and views of MBA graduates, the relationship between government and business companies, and the differences in management between the various sectors in Israel. His research on multinational companies in services is recognized as essential breakthroughs. His book The No Risk Society was far in advance of the views that speak today about the risk of expanding government roles.
