Prof. Yossi Leshem's passion for birds is "boundless" and in fact he is the one who significantly expanded the field of ornithology in Israel, as a young zoologist at Tel Aviv University and the Society for the Protection of Nature.

Later, he served for years as the CEO of the Society for the Protection of Nature and wrote dozens of books and popular scientific articles on ornithology, the latest of which is "50 years of ornithology to fly with birds and people".

In the fascinating podcast Prof. Leshem takes us on a fascinating journey with the billion birds that migrate a year in the skies of Israel, in his unique way he tells us about the different species that come to us in the winter and summer seasons, about the extraordinary biological diversity, the spectacular spectacle, its ecological benefits and also the problems it sometimes causes for farmers, for the air force and civil aviation. And also how inhalations have become biological exterminators in the farmers' fields. Prof. Yossi Leshem, Department of Zoology, Faculty of Life Sciences. Led by Dr. Miki Miro
