Ekron Ohio from the USA will offer far-reaching benefits to Israeli biomed companies that will expand their activities to the biomedical complex established in the city. In favor of the issue, a multi-participant delegation, which will include senior managers from three hospitals, representatives of the Institute for Innovation Bio, representatives of universities and CEOs of private and government companies. The delegation will be headed by Donald Flosquik, the mayor of Ekron.

The state of Ohio has turned the recruitment of biotechnology and medical companies into a national project. As part of the project that was established five years ago, 729 million dollars were invested and distributed among 69 biomed companies. For the years 2010 and 2011, the state of Ohio committed to an investment of over 200 million dollars to the various bio companies, with companies that meet the criteria being able to receive grants of up to a million dollars each. Among other things, the program includes research scholarships, connecting the companies to venture capital funds, providing training by business and technology experts, easing the tax burden, and assistance in obtaining places for research and equipment for the development of medical innovations.

A huge biomedical complex was established in the city of Ekron, Ohio, which centers biotechnological developments, products and services in the field of biomed. According to Dr. Gurion, one Israeli startup company has already announced its participation in the project - NI Medical Co., Ltd., which develops equipment for detecting heart disease in large populations, which won a grant of about half a million dollars. The company plans to move the production and marketing systems to Ohio and by the year 2010 will employ 30 employees.
