Elta Systems, a subsidiary of the Aerospace Industry and the Military Industry, received a budget of 6 million shekels from the Ministry of Transportation to promote the project of the protective suit - "Flite Guard" - for passenger planes against missile fire.
The approved budget will be used by Elta to conduct flight tests for the "Flight Guard" system, which is based on radar missile detection technology, as well as on jamming and deception technology using lights produced by IDF.
It will also be used to complete the licensing processes of the system by the Civil Aviation Administration, with the aim of installing the "Fleet Guard" as soon as possible on planes of the Israeli airlines.
