"In the span of two decades, in 2025, there is a danger to the existence of the world from the threats of terrorism. In order to reduce the danger there is an immediate and essential need to disrupt the terrorist systems that exist around the world," said Prof. Yona Alexander, head of the Inter-University Center for Terrorism Studies, at the academic institute Technological in Holon, at a conference on terrorism held at the Technological Academic Institute in Holon.
"In the span of two decades, in 2025, there is a danger to the existence of the world from the threats of terrorism.

"The advanced technology includes the use of biological, chemical and "cyber" weapons - disrupting essential systems, is the challenge of the terrorists of tomorrow. The question is not if the predictions of escalation will come true, the question is when the surprise of a super terrorist will surprise us and what will be the human, economic, political, social cost And a strategic one that will be paid," said Prof. Yona Alexander at a conference on terrorism held at the Technological Academic Institute in Holon.
"In the near term, the predictions are that the worst is yet to come. The immediate danger is the globalization of terrorism.
In addition to bin Laden's al-Qaeda network and Arab and Islamic groups, there are extreme right-wing organizations that have decided on attacks against Israel and the Jewish people in the Diaspora," added Prof. Alexander.

The conference held under the title "Terrorism in 2001 and the forecast for 2002" focused on the questions that arise as a result of the new terrorist trends that indicate the use of technological violence and their implications for Israel, the Middle East, and other regions. During the seminar, a number of issues were examined with a view to studying the dangers at the national, regional and global level.

Prof. Yona Alexander, head of the Inter-University Center for Terrorism Studies, at the Technological Academic Institute in Holon, has published over 80 books on international terrorism and is considered one of the most famous terrorism researchers in the world. The Center for Terrorism Studies concentrates on preparing infrastructure and publications in the field of terrorism and technology, terrorism on the Internet, terrorism and communication technologies, chemical, biological and nuclear terrorism.
Also speaking at the conference were the Ambassador of Nigeria, Prof. George Obizor, who lectured on the diplomatic aspects of terrorism, Prof. Menachem Amir, from the Hebrew University, who lectured on terrorism and international crime, and Prof. Eitan Gilboa, D., from the Holon Academic Institute of Technology reviewed the challenge of terrorism and the media.
